Took it to another mechanic was charged $70.00 and was told tire rods were fine, had a loose break pad. Saved myself over $600.00. Rude service, and lost all trust in this "Family run" business. NEVER AGAIN. ( AND was told I could not speak with the mechanic who worked on my car...just the receptionist...unheard of!! ) More
I had a 10am appointment scheduled for service on my truck this morning. I showed up and gave the service person my keys and took a seat in the waiting area. At 10:10am I noticed a person drive my vehic truck this morning. I showed up and gave the service person my keys and took a seat in the waiting area. At 10:10am I noticed a person drive my vehicle into the service bay. At 10:55am (45 mins later) I noticed my truck coming out of the garage as the service had been completed. I waited 10mins, until 11:05am, and went to the service desk and asked to pay so I could return to work. The service person said he hadn’t gotten the paperwork yet and to continue to wait. Paperwork?!! It was an oil, lube and filter, which can’t be a lot of “paperwork”. So I waited and waited and waited. At 11:35, FORTY MINUTES after the service was completed the guy says I can pay now and leave. This is hands down the most abysmal customer service I have ever seen. It takes 45mins to service my vehicle and then another 40mins to pay!! Who runs a business like this? I will NEVER return to Hanna Ford. Who makes someone wait 40mins to pay in the middle of a work day? More
To start I never write any reviews as it's not in my nature, however this time the following review is completely warranted. My 2020 Ford F250 PowerStroke with 6000km decided its time to throw a chec nature, however this time the following review is completely warranted. My 2020 Ford F250 PowerStroke with 6000km decided its time to throw a check engine light. The truck started to surge at idle and sounds like a freight train. In order to avoid any possible damage, and requiring the truck for daily operations, the next day I decided to stop at Hanna Ford in Stayner first thing at opening time. I reguralerly service my two other Ford's at this dealership with mixed feelings in the past. I spoke to the service advisor, asking if the truck can be diagnosed quickly in order to determine how serious the check engine light is and to possibly order the part needed. I was not expecting to get the truck fixed on this date just connected to the code reader which is a 5 minute procedure. This would give me an idea if the truck can be safely operated and the correct part can be ordered for future service appointment to get fixed. I have attended this dealership in the past with my F150 wasted a service appointment and a day at the dealer just to determine that the backup camera was faulty, which was already determined at an oil change appointment in the past. Had to book another service date in order to change the camera and another day lost. I was trying to avoid the same situation, and save everybody the time, and free up space for everyone else looking for a service appointment. I was told by the service advisor that the "diesel mechanic" is not in and they can't help me. I explained that all I need is anymechanic to hook up the code reader just to get the code and an idea of what's required. I was simply "fluffed" off and told to go to Collingwood Hanna Ford location and see if they can help me. I drove to Collingwood Hanna Ford and spoke to Mathew at the service desk. I explained the situation and asked for 5min of their time just to check the nature of the check engine light. Mathew advised me that they only have one diesel mechanic in and that he's busy. I asked for anyone to just hook up the code reader which is mobile, I know as it's been done before. Matthew advised that the next date they have available for diagnostic is three weeks from now. Mathew further advised that I can clear the code myself and see if it comes back. So I paid $100 000 for a brand new vehicle and I'm being told to start wrenching myself??? Needing the car and at a loss I called Barrie Ford. The service advisor asked me simply "can you be here in an hour!? We'll take care of it". I have never dealt with Barrie Ford in the past, but rest assure they have earned my future business regardless of the outcome. I have always been a Ford guy in simple words. But poor business practices such as excercised by Hanna Ford make me wonder why I keep buying this brand. It's bad enough that a brand new truck with 6000KM decides to light up the dash like a Christmas tree two months before the holidays. But dealer service as such does not eliviate the foul taste. Update: as I'm sitting at Barrie Ford and writing this review, the outcome is 6 different codes with a couple being serious. I was advised that the vehicle was also due for a software update, which Hanna Ford should have done when the truck was in for an oil change two weeks ago, but failed to do so. The codes were possibly due to the lack of update and the vehicle was most likely destined to cease running or sustain serious damage if it was continued to be operated. The dealer is doing the update and changing two sensors as we speak. I can't explain how frustrated and disappointed I am with the entire Hanna Ford Dealership, without the use of "polluted" language. More
None too impressed with product or service. My New purchase was under five years old and under 50k. Brakes had to be replaced for the third time, very early rust was treated twice. Hanna refused to replace the last set of brakes even though I’m sure they didn’t put new ones on for the second replacement. The response was that it was my problem since it was out of warranty. Service is not great either since I was left waiting for pickup for hours as I was given excuse after excuse (we are working on it... we’re short staffed, apprentice needs help... truth was they were far behind and rather than giving me a realistic time, they created excuses). Strong misogynistic vibe when dealing with staff there as well. More
