Helped me in a way that exceeded my expectations. I am TOTALLY impressed with their service and the surpassing way they helped me. I was on vacation, on the road, when my Passat started acting up in Dawson Creek. The car need an emissions part which if it failed would ruin my engine. I'm on vacation. Help!!! Since I was passing through Grande Prairie on the way to Jasper I thought I would get the part there and have it installed while I wait. GP Volkswagen did not have the part, a Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF). Sam, the partsman, said the nearest one was in Toronto and the next in Spokane. I could wait for one to be shipped. It was the long weekend coming up so I would get it Tuesday and lose four plus days. Sam phoned around and found one (only one) in Edmonton at NAPA which I said I would detour and go and get that day. Sam made arrangements for NAPA to hold it for me so no one else would get it. Sam also made an appointment at a VW dealership in Edmonton for the next day so the MAF could be installed. GP VW did not get any money out of me but they treated me like I was their best customer. I am SUPER grateful and TOTALLY impressed with their service. I even gave Sam a tip. He saved my vacation, I only lost a day instead of five. Thanks heaps. Danny Nasar from Victoria, BC. More

Great dealership I love my VW and the dealer here in GP is top notch. I stopped in because my power source (cigarette lighter) wasn't working but to my surprise there I love my VW and the dealer here in GP is top notch. All was not lost as the parts guy came out to my car, found the broken fuse and replaced it no charge. I love my VW dealership! More

Great service I had a tire shop fit aftermarket wheels fitted to my 2016 Tiguan, the wheels were incorrectly balanced causing a vibration, the tires shop could not I had a tire shop fit aftermarket wheels fitted to my 2016 Tiguan, the wheels were incorrectly balanced causing a vibration, the tires shop could not get my Tiguan back in due to the holliday weekend, I phoned Grande prairie volkswagen and they got me right in and correctly balanced my wheels. Fuel Issues The spring on the fuel valve broke and I was not able to fill up my Jetta. The dealership went above and beyond to address my safety concerns by going beyond the basic re-installation of a new sunroof, and actually had the new glass 3M taped. Further to that, they fully detailed my car to ensure no glass was left. While I was disappointed with VW Canada service, GP volkswagen service was OUTSTANDING. Thank you! More

Their service paperwork is easy to read so I can understand what they have done to my vehicle and if I have any questions they always help me get the right answer. I have to make special mention of a wonderful shuttle driver they have employed there, I believe his name was Brian (gosh I hope that's right) he was so friendly and chatted with me to and from the dealership. Beware of these crooks!!! I would like to give Grande Prairie Volkswagen zero stars but that isn't an option. Going from purchasing and servicing my car at an outstanding VW d I would like to give Grande Prairie Volkswagen zero stars but that isn't an option. Going from purchasing and servicing my car at an outstanding VW dealership in Kelowna to dealing with GP VW service department has been a complete nightmare. The only other two groups of people I know who have dealt with GP VW feel the exact same way, warned me, and state they will NEVER go back. The employees in the GP VW service department are crooks and poor mechanics. After reading me the long list of problems I "need to fix in order for the car to run" they gave me a number over $10K. When I went to retrieve my car I was greeted with open arms by the salesmen who had my key and file. The salesman who I paid (they charged me $215 when I signed off for a "Complimentary" inspection - I was told the charge was because I said the car was blowing black smoke which is not a part of their complimentary inspection) was extremely persistent that my car has "had a good life" (it's a 2006) and that it was time for me to buy a new car. I told him I was not interested but he continued to pressure me. Before I managed to leave GP VW the salesman had me sign off that I am aware that the car is not in good shape and should not be driven - well, I made it about 100 m from the GP VW parking lot before I had to call a tow truck. The next day I was told by the HONEST private VW mechanic shop in Grande Prairie that the GP VW mechanic left the intake hose off, which is why I couldn't drive the car far. The honest VW mechanic let me know that he could fix my car for 20% the cost that VW quoted me. I was also told by the other VW mechanic shop that they've heard this story many times before from unhappy GP VW customers, who were given an $8-10,000 quote, and that this story doesn't surprise them at all. Update: My car has been beautifully fixed by the private mechanic for a fraction of the price GP VW quoted and I couldn't be happier. My family and I will never step foot in GP VW again. More
