A year plus since my car problems started with my Kia soul burning oil. In June - October 2024, I had my vehicle in for service 3 times. It cost a few thousand to have superficial fixes. None of which addressed the problem. For the next year, after being promised a follow up call to fix a recall on seat heaters that kia installed bad parts. I was ignored by management with zero effort on Kia's part to fix their mistake on the recall or further address my engine issues. 3 visit to speak with management, 1 message to speak to the Vice President, a complaint here on rate my dealer (with a meaningless PR response). I finally called Kia Canada, to complain. A year in to finally get a manager to contact me. With yet another failed promise to book an appointment in October 2025. Now in November 2025, my engine is dead. Also now they can finally tell me what was wrong with the engine from a year ago. Not enough oxygen getting in, so it burned oil. They want to replace my engine at $7000, and the fuel injectors ($110 each × 6) for another $1000. Somehow a key part of the engine is not included in a engine replacement. Fail "Go Kia West". Having talked to a trusted mechanic that lives out of town for me to have had a proper fix. I was explained that something so simple as fixing fuel injectors should have been caught by an apprentice, let alone a red seal mechanic. Be very careful with Go Kia West services. Do not trust them to fix your car proper. If you are in the unfortunate position to be in their shop, do not leave without a copy of whatever they quote you. More

Dear Service Manager, or whoever concerned, I hope this message finds you well. My name is Anoop Kottakkakath, and I am the owner of a 2021 Kia Seltos SX Turbo. I am writing to formally express my this message finds you well. My name is Anoop Kottakkakath, and I am the owner of a 2021 Kia Seltos SX Turbo. I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction and disappointment following my recent experience with your service department at Go Kia West, 1881 United Blvd, Coquitlam. On March 18, 2025, I brought my vehicle in for a periodic service. The service was handled by Mr. Karan Patel. I specifically requested a replacement of the engine air filter, as I knew it was dirty and due for change. Karan assured me that the air filter would be replaced along with the oil service and transmission fluid change. When I returned to pick up my vehicle, I inquired whether all the requested services had been completed. Karan confirmed that they were, including the air filter replacement. He mentioned that the part had mistakenly not been added to the invoice and told me I was "lucky" to receive it free of charge. Despite offering to pay for the part, he insisted there was no need. Trusting the word of a representative at a Kia service center, I continued to drive my car for the next three months. However, on June 17, 2025, I visited Applewood Kia in Surrey for my next scheduled service. To my surprise, I was informed that the engine air filter was extremely dirty and had clearly not been changed in a long time. I immediately contacted the Coquitlam location and requested to speak with either a manager or Karan for clarification. I was informed that Karan is no longer employed there. I was also told that I would receive a call back, but that has yet to happen. Being misled about a service that directly affects my vehicle’s engine health is absolutely unacceptable. This situation has seriously undermined my trust in your dealership’s integrity and reliability. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have experienced misleading information at your location. When I originally purchased the vehicle, the salesperson, Todd, promised me that I could choose any brand of tires for $600 once winter was over. When I returned to inquire about this offer, I was told Todd was no longer with the dealership, and I was only offered Rovelo tires for $600 plus tax — a significant deviation from what was originally promised. With no one taking accountability, I had no choice but to decline. I urge you to take this matter seriously. I expect a proper explanation and some form of accountability for the misinformation I received.
