He took the time to explain everything clearly, gave honest recommendations, and kept me updated the whole way through. A big thank you to the entire team for going above and beyond to make it happen that day and help me purchase my new car. It’s rare these days to find this level of professionalism and genuine care. I’ll definitely be coming back for future service and recommending this dealership to everyone I know. More

It feels like something is touching or creating friction, similar to a scraping or rubbing noise. As this issue started immediately after the service, I am concerned it may be related to an adjustment made during maintenance. More
Had a fantastic salesman named Dylan Bradbury very knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. He sat with me and narrowed down what I was looking for, then showed me 2 cars, the second one was absolutely knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. Dear Service Manager, or whoever concerned, I hope this message finds you well. My name is Anoop Kottakkakath, and I am the owner of a 2021 Kia Seltos SX Turbo. I am writing to formally express my this message finds you well. My name is Anoop Kottakkakath, and I am the owner of a 2021 Kia Seltos SX Turbo. I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction and disappointment following my recent experience with your service department at Go Kia West, 1881 United Blvd, Coquitlam. On March 18, 2025, I brought my vehicle in for a periodic service. The service was handled by Mr. Karan Patel. I specifically requested a replacement of the engine air filter, as I knew it was dirty and due for change. Karan assured me that the air filter would be replaced along with the oil service and transmission fluid change. When I returned to pick up my vehicle, I inquired whether all the requested services had been completed. Karan confirmed that they were, including the air filter replacement. He mentioned that the part had mistakenly not been added to the invoice and told me I was "lucky" to receive it free of charge. Despite offering to pay for the part, he insisted there was no need. Trusting the word of a representative at a Kia service center, I continued to drive my car for the next three months. However, on June 17, 2025, I visited Applewood Kia in Surrey for my next scheduled service. To my surprise, I was informed that the engine air filter was extremely dirty and had clearly not been changed in a long time. I immediately contacted the Coquitlam location and requested to speak with either a manager or Karan for clarification. I was informed that Karan is no longer employed there. I was also told that I would receive a call back, but that has yet to happen. Being misled about a service that directly affects my vehicle’s engine health is absolutely unacceptable. This situation has seriously undermined my trust in your dealership’s integrity and reliability. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have experienced misleading information at your location. When I originally purchased the vehicle, the salesperson, Todd, promised me that I could choose any brand of tires for $600 once winter was over. When I returned to inquire about this offer, I was told Todd was no longer with the dealership, and I was only offered Rovelo tires for $600 plus tax — a significant deviation from what was originally promised. With no one taking accountability, I had no choice but to decline. I urge you to take this matter seriously. I expect a proper explanation and some form of accountability for the misinformation I received. I also feel compelled to share this negative experience with my family and friends to help them make informed choices. Sincerely, Anoop Kottakkakath More

Please note that 1 star is over and above what's deserved. There needs to be a "negative" star for this one. My recent year with this dealership has included quotes in bad faith. Double charging deserved. There needs to be a "negative" star for this one. My recent year with this dealership has included quotes in bad faith. Double charging for parts. Charging labour on a recall item, which wasn't fixed properly and continues to non functional. Has failed to follow up to fix their mistake for 6 months. The icing on the cake, calling my partner "a stupid women, who doesn't know about cars", loud enough in their conversation for all 3 women in the waiting area to hear. (Hey Kia West, she's a mechanic, you offered a job when we bought the car). This began for us in June when our engine was having issues. Thinking it's still under warranty after the engine recall. The brakes for the car also needed work. Which we were told that kia would not give us the car back without the brakes being changed. Knowing the brakes need work, we provided the rotors and pads already acquired. The Calipers were the part needed. Calipers are sold in sets of 2. We know this due to my partners time in the industry. A few days in, we got a phone call to tell us, that they needed to order a second set, because 1 of the calipers was the wrong size. Agreed to the delay, which cost me more time off my job that my car was needed for. Original quote, approx. $1300, which was consistent with our own estimates. When we returned, the charge was $2100, which included 2 charges for calipers. After a brief exchange, and a refusal to be ripped off. 1 set of calipers was dropped. Bringing it still to $1800. (By the way Kia west, we know you didn't do a proper brakes test drive. How, read below.) The car was returned, with fixed brakes and the engine still in distress. Unfixed. Having done just enough to get the engine light off. Car still sluggish and losing power on hills. (Unfixed and acting sluggish with in 3 blocks of your garage. You didn't do the legal test drive the new brakes, or you would have felt the engine was still not right.) On the second visit in August 2024. I made the appointment, along with yet another attempt to fix the engine. $900 dollars later, the car was returned with assurances that the engine was fixed and tested. Another lie on having test drove the fix. Agin with in 3 blocks, I called and reported the engine was still a problem. I was lucky enough to have a tow truck pass me and help tow it directly to kia west. Visit #3. I received a recall notice right after for my seat heaters. With another attempt to fix the engine. This is at the end of September. The day before my schedules appointment, the engine stalls out mid span on the Portman bridge. Luckily a great tow truck driver was crossing and helped me drop it off at the kia west. The next morning as I had to work, my partner attended to the service desk at kia west to go over ther paper work. After the initial exchange to get the paper work started, there was a waiting time while a consult was had with the manager and mechanic about the engine. Where a staff member was quoted in the conversation, "Doesn't that stupid women know that the engine and seat heaters are not connected to each other." Yes, kia west, she does know that. Being the only people there for engine trouble and seat heaters. It wasn't hard to figure out who they were speaking of. This time and another $1700 dollars later the major problem of the catalytic converter was finally fixed. Still has a C1 code on the engine and a cylinder isn't firing right. At this point, kia west has had enough chances with the engine fix. I know better now. Though with the seat heater recall, and reported within 14 days my last visit. I discovered the passenger side heater no longer works. It's been 6 months now. In late January and mid March 2025, I have been back to ask about my seat heaters being fixed with a promise that management would contact us to make arrangements. It's now April 2025. Still never heard from them. More
