We signed a bill of sale for a BMW 528i XDrive VIN WBA5A7C54GG149478 on Aug 20 and insisted that the sales manager Mahmoud Mouneir (Mike) add "deposit is refundable if inspection fails” and they did. WBA5A7C54GG149478 on Aug 20 and insisted that the sales manager Mahmoud Mouneir (Mike) add "deposit is refundable if inspection fails” and they did. We waited 4 days for the windshield to be changed and then took the car for inspection on 25th. I insisted not to sign a loaner agreement and gave them an expired CC when they asked to photocopy one. For some reason I had no trust in any of them. They all seemed so cheesy to me and I refused to sign on anything other than a bill of sale with conditions. When inspecting the car, the certified BMW mechanic invited me to the shop where he lifted the car to show me the brakes sensors that are disconnected intentionally to stop the car from giving notification that the brake pads are below minimum thickness to the extent that it is unsafe to drive the care out of the shop. In total, he noticed and reported the following: 1- Front right inner pads below minimum thickness 2- Front brake pad disconnected 3- Rear brake pad sensor was broken 4- Battery too low warning is on 5- engine oil service due 6- different brand tires on front and back, and all of them are not BMW approved 7- tires installed are not the BMW size (not 245/45R18) 8- all engine splash shields (front, rear and right and left) are damaged 9- Tented front windows (which is illegal in Edmonton) 10- dents on the roof of the car and scratches on the driver’s door from trying to open the car without having keys and a cut in the dashboard All in all the total cost to fix items 1 to 9 were over $2880. I went back to discuss the findings and they refused to reduce the price or fix the issues or pay the $1000 deposit even with an AMVIC report showing the car failing inspection for brakes. I was lucky enough to fool all of them and drive the car back to home. I insisted to have my money back before I return the car and if they have any doubt in my inspection then they have to wait till I do another inspection. till another one is done. Next day, they called the police to get their car and the police was very understanding and cooperative and they were the one who helped me to get my money back. Unfortunately, I read the Facebook reviews only today to find out I am not the only one who was robbed out of their deposits for different reasons. AMVIC should help those people get their money back or at least prevent this company from taking any client deposits. If this happens to you, file a complaint with AMVIC online, and BBB and call consumer investigation unit at 1-877-427-4088, Edmonton Chamber of Commerce, Advertising Standards Canada (they showed me a clean AMVIC report with no notes on brakes) and ISED Citizen Services Center. I did half of this and will continue Monday with the other half. I am also starting a Global of Edmonton Campaign about them. Yes, I took my money back but they can end up killing someone if they keep selling defaulted cars with fake inspection reports. SAVE YOUR LIFE AND MONEY AND RUN AWAY FROM THEM More
VERY POOR CUSTOMER SUPPORT! Within 24 hours of purchase I found the sunroof cover on my vehicle didn’t close properly. It gets stuck in the track. There is also a crack in the windshield that was covered by their lot sticker during my test drive. And one of my heated rear seats doesn’t work. It was 28 degrees when I test drove so of course I didn’t think to close the sunroof or test the heated seats. When I brought the vehicle back 2 hours after purchase and brought up my complaints, I was told they’d replace the windshield but was on my own for the sunroof cover. I don’t think it’s too unreasonable of me to expect that when I spend tens of thousands of dollars on a car, all the features should work. Or at least tell me. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!! More
I would give 0 stars if I could. My bf found a truck from the go auto website and messaged about it. For the last few days we have been dealing with mostly the finance guy Mike, who was trying to get us a loan for the truck. With giving him even a $500 deposit. Today we get a call saying he got us approved for the loan, to come down and sign the papers. We informed him we had our 3 young children with us and we made an appointment to be there for noon. We show up at noon and was told to wait in the lounge, we end up waiting half and hour before Mike comes and introduces himself and tells us he's in the process of talking to 2 other banks??? You said we were approved for a loan for the truck Mike?!? Isn't that why we are here!?! He leaves and we wait another half hour to 45 minutes before Mike sends SOMEONE ELSE to come talk to us saying he's got good news for us and we got approved for a $30,000 dollar loan (which isn't enough to get the truck we wanted. The truck we also put a $500 deposit on). Why on earth couldn't they have just said that over the phone instead of making us waste our time and energy in driving across the city with our 3 young children on a Saturday!!! Very unprofessional!! We will not be dealing with this dealership again and i expect our $500 deposit back. More
When purchasing our new vehicle we waiter two plus hours after our scheduled appointment to see the finance department. After finishing with finance we were told by the sales manager that we needed to pay $ after our scheduled appointment to see the finance department. After finishing with finance we were told by the sales manager that we needed to pay $500 for a dealership plate or we could not leave. We had insurance on our current plate and they refused to accept this. We spent hours stuck at the dealership even though we had insurance. The sales manager bribed us to not say anything about our experience, which we did not accept. We ended up paying for a plate only to be threatened by them multiple time with them claiming we wouldn’t send the plate back even though we sent it back immediately. The sales manager threatened me with physical violence while I was holding my 1 year old baby while he was holding us hostage at the dealership. When speaking with the General Manager he said that none of this happened. When asked for the surveillance video of what happened they decline. Never would I recommend this dealership. More
