Memories of a Life in a Beetle My 1998 VW Beetle spent many years with me, 17 in all. The Bug was the first made New Beetle, 1998 was the VW Beetle's comeback in North America. I My 1998 VW Beetle spent many years with me, 17 in all. The Bug was the first made New Beetle, 1998 was the VW Beetle's comeback in North America. I had been driving a Jeep Commanche and my 'getting on' mother was having a heck of a time getting up and down. I mentioned a Beetle to her, and her eyes lit up ! After The Bug came into our lives, we looked for excuses for outings and adventures, we 'beetled' everywhere. There wasn't a week that went by that we didn't have a Beetle adventure planned and executed ! The outing wasn't the 'draw' though, it was being out and about and exploring life in The Bug. The whole time my mother was in The Bug, she was smiling, laughing and just could never get over The Bug. She told me "the Bug makes me feel happy, it is so cute'. To say she loved that car ? is an understatement, it truly brought her joy, laughter and happiness, and each trip seemed too short. My mother died a few years back, and although The Bug was 'aging' as well I could not sell it. I could still see my mother sitting in the passenger seat, buckled in with a big smile and so excited for our next Bug adventure. I knew one day The Bug would have to move on, as my mother had. In recent months, I'd been thinking about this. It was time for me to change from a 5 speed stick to an automatic, as I'm 'getting on'. I only thought of one place to do that, the place that had cared for The Bug for so many years, AutoHaus. Raymond Levesque made contact with me, and I arranged to meet with him. He was so patient with me, and so very kind, because I was a mess even trying to walk away from The Bug. Honestly, I'm still shocked I managed. I mean who has tears running down their face when purchasing a new vehicle. He got me through it with empathy. I left my Bug in his hands as a trade, and he assured me it would find a new home or be part of something 'good'. Now I'm driving a 2016 Classic Beetle and am on a learning curve for sure, lots has changed between 1998 and 2016. The new Bug also now known as Sylvie (Raymond asked me what The Bug's name was as owners generally name theirs) so I went the extra mile with the 2016 and picked a name. Through the buying process Raymond respectfully called the 1998 by The Bug !!!! I can't say enough about Raymond/AutoHaus, I can't imagine any experience better than what I had. Bugs, VW Beetles whatever you want to call them, don't just give you an amazing ride, and a beautiful car, it will bring you a lifetime of memories that might bring a tear to your eye, if the time comes that you have to part. More

I had a tough time making a choice between the Golf Trendline and Comfortline models but Daniel explained pros and cons for each car and helped make my decision easy. Moreover, he had both cars ready up front, in my preferred colors, with a dealer plate on, just in case I wanted to take either model for a spin. The staff here are super friendly, easy going and very easy to communicate with. Not for a moment I felt that I was under pressure from anyone. The Finance Manager, Premini, walked me through all the financial documents step by step and explained all I needed to know in a very simple way.
