Horrible sales experience dealing with Travis and not being given my refundable deposit back due to backing out of a vehicle deal even without even signing anything or being approved for it. Tells me I c being given my refundable deposit back due to backing out of a vehicle deal even without even signing anything or being approved for it. Tells me I can use it toward another vehicle purchase when you’re ready, that’s not how those things work, it’s a refundable deposit, nothing was signed and you even wrote refundable on top of the receipt. Filed a complaint with AMVIC, what a shady business. More
Went into Gary Moe Volkswagen to get my 2005 Golf checked out, the service staff were friendly and efficient. Left with a 2016 Tiguan. Great staff and incrediably friendly however, dealership is stating that a sensor issue is considered general wear and tear on a new 2022 Atlas not even 4 months after purchase. Did not even have my first o is stating that a sensor issue is considered general wear and tear on a new 2022 Atlas not even 4 months after purchase. Did not even have my first oil change before sensor malfunctioned and they are claiming it was due to traveling on gravel roads. I reside off a major highway. Therefore we have to jump through hoops and are wanting us to pay to get a new car fixed. More
I was debating writing a review for this dealership, but I thought about it and wanted to make sure that future buyers are warned. I bought a vehicle from this dealership last summer. The vehicle has been f I thought about it and wanted to make sure that future buyers are warned. I bought a vehicle from this dealership last summer. The vehicle has been fine, and I’m honestly happy with the Volkswagen itself. My buying experience was less than ideal. I test drove a golf, ended up being happy with it and purchased it. Dealt with the same salesman the entire day. Next day, my car dies in traffic in red deer. Brand new car so I was a little annoyed. Called my salesman who advised that he would book service for me tomorrow. Fair enough… I went to the dealership around 10. They gave me my car back around 4 saying the battery is not the issue, and they couldn’t figure out where the power drain is coming from but assured me the car was fine. (They also offered me a courtesy wash, which I made the unfortunate decision of accepting). I went to leave the dealership, my car wouldn’t start. Cool guys, I spent the whole day at your dealership, was not offered a courtesy car (my issue was minor so I wasn’t expecting one). I gave the keys back to the lady in the service bay, who was fantastic, empathetic and understanding, and explained my issue. 5 minutes later, they replaced the car battery and I was on my way. Took them 8 hours to diagnose a 5 minute problem… anyways. I get home and notice my passenger side door paint looks like a peregrine falcon landed on it. I take pictures of the scratches and advise the dealership. I came back the next day for a manger to assess the damage, and it was determined that “we can’t prove the wash caused the scratches”, but they agreed to provide me a courtesy detail at their nearby shop. Also, the salesman who dealt with me for 2 consecutive days greeted me and didn’t recognize me. I must not have a memorable face. Anyways, my door had deep scratches far past the clear coat but I humoured them and attended my detailing appointment. The employee there told me that my paint is scratched, and while they can wax it.. the door needs to be repainted. I explained the same over a phone call to staff at the dealership and I was basically told that the courtesy wash is an agreement and I agree to the risk of damage to my vehicle. Do not do buisiness with Gary Moe VW. An absolutely terrible dealership experience and now I get to look at my scratched up door with a bad taste in my mouth. I’d give it a 0 out of 5 if it weren’t for the kind and friendly service bay staff. Thanks for reading! Go to Edmonton or Calgary if you want a Volkswagen. DT More
