1 Review of GNR Camping World
I went to GNR Camping World to get my tires looked at and get one replaced. It turns out the tires were all auto tires not trailer tires. It was recommended I replace them all. I asked them to quote and it w get one replaced. It turns out the tires were all auto tires not trailer tires. It was recommended I replace them all. I asked them to quote and it was 167$ per tire plus installation and tax! I thought that was pretty expensive and I called around- Kal tire had the tires for 109 including installation. When I told the GNR camping people the price difference and that they were way more expensive, they couldn't have cared less. They could have price matched!? I was there already and the trailer was in their shop... I ended up paying the 70$ inspection fee they charge everyone and took the trailer to Kal Tire. I know anything that says "RV" on it is the same as when it says "MARINE" It just means it's likely the exact same as another product but it will be two or three times as much for sure. GNR kept up this rip off with the price of their tires. They were reasonably friendly but it really seemed that because I wasn't pulling some fancy big rig I was almost just more of an annoyance. They were amused by my 1989 Jayco trailer... I was happy to take my 500$ elsewhere. Too bad really because their set up seemed pretty good and it wouldn't have take much to knock off the price of the tires and leave me happy and writing a review about how great they were to me when I was passing through town and in a bind. It cost me a few hours and the 70$ but I'm happy I went elsewhere. I should have gone their in the first place... I'm not sure what I was thinking... For tires for sure- GO ELSEWHERE. They probably have a few RV things that aren't sold in too many other places in Winnipeg... just check their prices... PLEASE NOTE: This website also kind of sucks... It doesn't give any RV brands or Trailer brands but made me put one in... I also don't think picking on one staff member is particularly fair unless they are a source of very good or bad service. Dana was fine. It's not her fault they have ridiculous prices but she certainly didn't try to keep me as a customer and wasn't very helpful... More
