Horrible Customer Service My family bought their first car from Frost in 2000. We have bought cars exclusively from Frost until now. Over a year ago I received a letter in the mail offering me a brand new Equinox in exchange for my Cruise for exact same monthly payments and zero money down. It really did not make sense since the Equinox is more expensive but I wasn't going to turn down the offer. Needless to say it was a false promise. What's worse is Frost sent me another letter offering the same thing 6 months later and once again reneged. I can understand them not honouring this if I approached them randomly about this, but they approached me. Since I was dissatisfied I asked to speak to a manager about this. I did not hear anything from Frost about my request. You would think having dealt with them since 2000 there would be some sort of loyalty, Clearly not. I have since started leasing a Ford Escape through Colony Ford. The customer service and features are night and day compared to Frost and GM. Frost charged me for the gas in my Cruise when i first leased it. Colony gave me a full tank of gas and did not charge me. Colony wanted $500 down payment on the lease. This however went towards the first month lease and environmental fees. With Frost it was $1500 down (my mom leased a car around the same time as me through Frost and had the same experiences). Clearly that $1500 went to line GM's pockets. Also I sighed up for the extended coverage. I was nowhere near the $2000 limit. GM still charged me a deductible. I was not told about a deductible when I signed up for that coverage. I have heard others say Frost is lacking in customer service as well. So in conclusion I would avoid Frost like the plague. Customer service was horrible. But that sounds like GM in general. With the closing of the the Oshawa plant it sounds like Frost is just behaving like GM in general. More
Bad experience I have brought my GMC Savana 2017 to fix my leaking tire, and balance my tires. It took 28 hours including diagnostic of the break calipers. There is no way to talk to us when we wait patiently all day and our car does not even get fixed. He rather talk ok phone amd not care for customers, not just us. Frost GM did not live up to even the bare minimum standard of care when certifying the vehicle I purchased, and challenged me on numerous defects that I brought to their attention well within the terms of the warranty. If you are so inclined to buy from this dealership, beware of hidden fees. Review your purchase agreement with a fine tooth comb before signing!!! More
