I was travelling on Bishop Grandin at Waverley when I slowly started losing speed going from 70 down to 0. Stepping on the gas did nothing. When I reached 30 mph I started getting a message with the warn slowly started losing speed going from 70 down to 0. Stepping on the gas did nothing. When I reached 30 mph I started getting a message with the warning alarms going crazy alerting me that I had a "Hybrid System Failure".( The gas engine would not cut in. ) ...I was fortunate to be able to pull over three lanes with the other drivers seeing my hazards on and letting me move over. The vehicle was still running but I couldn't move and the hybrid battery system graphics on the info screen showed it being completely depleted. The Murray Hyundai dealership took it for test drives and did not have a problem. Contacted Focus Hyundai where I purchased the vehicle from and they said to stay with Murray, obviously they did not want my business this is warranty work. More

Abby the manager we dealt with was very nice and gave us a tour. The sales people we dealt with gave us a play by play on what’s going to happen next. They are very reasonable and transparent compared to other dealers who would just say what you want to hear and not follow through More
I have contacted Focus Hyundai several times and promised a call back. Yes the Kona is a great vehicle, but the additional charges are highly questionable! I would like a follow-up asap to explain them in a call back. Yes the Kona is a great vehicle, but the additional charges are highly questionable! Shubh was amazing to deal with but that was pretty much it. The manager Abbee was trying to get us to make an autopac claim on my trade in that had a small crack on the bumper. It’s a $300 fix and when the it. The manager Abbee was trying to get us to make an autopac claim on my trade in that had a small crack on the bumper. It’s a $300 fix and when they finally gave me the value of my car after wasting two hours of our time trying to keep us there, they docked 3k off my car for the bumper. They didn’t have the kona in stock, their used Venza that I was also considering was filthy. Neither vehicle I was looking at felt right. Went to Subaru right after, they offered me $1500 more for my (Hyundai Elantra) than Focus did! Not a good feeling. Doesn’t feel honest or integral. More

Very expensive dealership and worst Focus service department ever. Strongly not recommending and suggesting run away from this dealership. department ever. Strongly not recommending and suggesting run away from this dealership. More
If you refuse their imposed additional services (+~4000$), they brazenly lie to you that your order was accidentally canceled. And your car is gone. (+~4000$), they brazenly lie to you that your order was accidentally canceled. And your car is gone. More
Shockingly bad experience with Focus service department this week. 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe flashed warning lights on dashboard - engine redlined and then shut off - on the Perimeter Highway on Monday morning this week. 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe flashed warning lights on dashboard - engine redlined and then shut off - on the Perimeter Highway on Monday morning. Couldn't get into our preferred Murray dealership for a week so took it to Focus. Focus service desk said tech looked into it and said oil was very low so did an oil change (had one done 6 weeks ago at another location). Proceeded to give us a list of other recommended non-motor work to be done totaling $3,900.00 - but said nothing else about the motor. Left the dealership with the fresh oil change and the next morning the motor suffered a catastrophic failure, again on the Perimeter - and was lucky not to be run over by a semi when the car stopped running in the middle of the outside lane. This time had it towed to Murray Hyundai. Within an hour the Murray service tech knew the engine had suffered a main bearing and rod failure destroying the engine. He figured it out from the report of what happened the day before, the known issue with that model and year of Hyundai engine, and the report of the final breakdown, and finally a thorough detailed look into the engine. Thank goodness the service people at Murray took the initiative to contact and work with Hyundai and they are replacing the engine at Hyundai's expense. To Focus - knowing that model and year of the engine and the issues we reported - how could you not have run troubled codes and done a little more digging to figure out what happened - other than low oil - which was obviously caused by a beginning to fail engine.
