broken promises over & over I've been very disappointed with the way I've been treated at this dealership. I used to drive a Honda & a Chrysler & I was treated extremely well at those dealers in town. I was waiting nearly 2 years for my recall notice to be fixed. For the first 6 months I heard that the wrong parts were ordered...whatever...these types of things happen. For the last 18 months I've been told any week now, i'm 6th on the list. When I go in for an oil change a few months later, again i'm told it'll be a few weeks, i'm 8th on the list. What the heck? I've been waiting months & somehow i'm moving down the list, how does that happen? When I ask I get an I don't know & a shrug of the shoulders. That's not an answer, that's an excuse. Be honest with your customers, stop dragging it on & be professionals. These recalls are serious & my faith in the Ford brand has vanished. Never buying a Ford product again. You need to hire service people who care about the customer, not just how busy they are & when the next break is coming. I work hard for my money & this is quite sad. More

Great for purchase, Horrible for Service I purchased a Ford Escape in 2013 and was very satisfied after dealing with our sales associate, Mike. He was friendly and helpful and made purchasing I purchased a Ford Escape in 2013 and was very satisfied after dealing with our sales associate, Mike. He was friendly and helpful and made purchasing a new vehicle a pleasant experience. Unfortunately that is where our satisfaction with Fines Ford ends. The service we have received from Fines in terms of after-purchase car is appalling. My vehicle is approaching the end of the warranty period and arrangements were made to have the service department inspect and repair these issues. Upon dropping the vehicle off for service I also inquired about an airbag recall that could not be completed on a prior visit as the parts were not available. I was told by Liz Robinson, the Service Coordinator, that this recall work would only be completed if my airbag light was on. I had previously been told to bring my vehicle back in the fall as parts should be available so I asked Liz to look into it a little further as I was under the impression that this recall work was to be completed regardless of whether my airbag light was on or not. I would never expect an employee to be familiar with every recall or service bulletin, but I do take issue with how Liz handled this situation. Rather than simply looking into it Liz was extremely rude and abrupt and stated that this was not the case, I was incorrect and the recall would not be completed. Upon further checking it was determined that my vehicle did need to have this repair and Liz advised they would do this work too, but it would take a very long time (which I had no issue with). I’m not sure why I was given such a hassle about a recall that Ford had issued. The other issue we encountered during this service visit was the dealerships refusal to repair the heat exhaust shield as they stated this was damaged by me rather than normal wear and tear. My husband is a mechanic and the only reason we took the vehicle to Fines for repair was because he inspected it prior to the warranty expiration and noticed obvious issues with the construction of the heat shield (in particular, disintegration of the bolts used to hold the part in place causing it to droop and drag). After an inspection, we were advised by the service representative that they would not be repairing it as it had “obviously hit something”. I am confident this is not the case, particularly after researching this issue and finding out that many other Ford Escape owners have encountered the same issue with their vehicle due to cheap parts. As a result, we ended up dealing with Gino, the Operations Manager, who eventually advised that even if it is a design flaw, there is no recall issued by Ford, and as such it would not be repaired. What is most disappointing is that Gino implied we were attempting to commit warranty fraud. This is not the case and we took great offence – we could purchase the part and install it ourselves, likely for less than $100 (and I'm sure Fines Ford could have done it for much less and kept a customer). We were left feeling that Ford does not stand behind their vehicles and that Fines Ford in particular only cares about the sale of a vehicle and could care less about after-market service. We will never purchase a vehicle from Fines Ford again and will certainly never recommend them for the purchase of a vehicle or for service. More
