Very terrible experience We bought a new Jeep from finch last fall. The sales experience was abysmal. Our sales person Ezz clearly didn’t care about us or our family. We were We bought a new Jeep from finch last fall. The sales experience was abysmal. Our sales person Ezz clearly didn’t care about us or our family. We were returning customers with a van that was only 2 years old we were looking to trade in. We were offered less than half of the sale price we paid 2 years prior as a trade in value. We were fed some story about an American buyer that was in town offering top dollar for used vehicles. We later saw the van on their website for sale and it sold quickly for much more than we got for it, this American buyer is a stand up guy. The van was in very good condition with a few minor issues. The van also had a rust chip and 5 years left of its transferrable 7 year bumper to bumper warranty. Fine, whatever we’ll take the loss. We were about to sign on the dotted line to buy a new 2 door wrangler when my wife voiced her concerns about seating. We test drove a 4 door and were planning on buying a 2 door. At that time they only had a manual in a 4 door model. Ezz assured us the 2 door was a 5 seat vehicle. Seating capacity was important to us as we have 3 kids. We asked if he could double check and upon inspection he admitted it only had 4 seatbelts, no deal. We made the mistake of telling Ezz where we were having lunch. Guess who showed up to our lunch date trying to sell us a truck for the same price. We stewed on it and thought we would give them another chance. My wife had her heart set on a Jeep so we returned and started running the numbers on a 4 door. It was considerably more expensive. We went on Jeeps website and picked out the features that were important to us and built a custom Jeep that we could afford. I made it clear to the dealer we wanted a soft top and a tow hitch. We wanted a soft top because it’s a Jeep and a trailer hitch would have been really handy for me as I just started a business and I need to move large/heavy things on a regular basis. They gave us pricing for a couple Jeeps that they would have to bring in. These didn’t meet our requirements and we asked if they would meet us halfway on the in stock 4 door we test drove. They agreed however their halfway was much different than what half the difference was when the paperwork came through we found out after. So we thought we had a deal and we moved forward onto the financing person. I can’t recall her name but my god was she awful. She used very high pressure sales tactics to try to sell us coverages we either did not need or already had through our insurance company. She argued with me that I didn’t have gap insurance through my existing coverages even though I do. She almost killed the deal. She was a very unpleasant woman. My wife went in for final signatures and they convinced her it would be cheaper without a tow hitch. They claim this was an attempt to save us money which it would have but the difference in our biweekly payments was negligible vs going out a buying a hitch today. This is also when we found out that their halfway was not the same as half. We get the Jeep home and the first thing we want to do with it is roll around without the top on. So we took the hard top off and went for a drive. After the drive I went to put the soft top on. Having never owned or driven a Jeep before I opened up that package which I assumed was the soft top to put it on the vehicle. This was just a case for the small hard top panels. I called and asked where our soft top was. It was at this point they told us that they didn’t include one. The manager told me it was my fault we didn’t get a soft top for not knowing was a packaged soft top looks like in a new model Jeep. I wrote the sales manager an email about it and he offered me a tow hitch and a soft top for about $4000. I was appalled; I tend to be very clear when speaking. This was especially the case when purchasing a vehicle that is going to cost us over $70,000. I had expressed several times the importance of these 2 features. I couldn’t understand how it made sense to them that we should take on a $4000 purchase after just putting through financing. We are a family on a budget; the point of zero down is not paying a large sum up front. Had they of been forward with us we could have rolled these expenses into our payments. Although I was under the impression that they were included in the price we were given. The sales experience was sub-par at best for a company we had no dealings with let alone a company we were spending well over $100,000 at in the course of just 2 years. Our return was not incentivized whatsoever. Had we of known this we would have happily gone to a dealer closer to our house. Fast forward to now. Still not satisfied with our sales experience but what do you do? We have the Jeep my wife loves it and my kids love it too. We had noticed a problem with it staying is second gear however. My wife took it in for a service appointment and voiced her concerns. The service department told her it was fine. I had it out just yesterday and when making a left hand turn the shifter just popped out of gear and I had no acceleration. Luckily I reacted quickly as this has become the norm for the Jeep. This is totally unacceptable for a new vehicle with less than 10K km on it. I am very unimpressed that the dealer would shrug off such a glaring safety concern. Overall we are very disappointed. More
Appalling Service Absolutely APPALLED by the service received from Finch. We bought a new Dodge Grand Caravan from them and after 9 months and 20,000 km the ABS light came on. I brought it in for inspection and the technician informed me I had mice in my van and they’ve eaten through the speed sensor wire, which voids the warranty. He then continued to go on and on about mice living in vehicles and the damage they cause. Brought our van to another garage for a second opinion only to be told there is absolutely no evidence of mice activity and the wire in question had been cut off at both ends. We took this report, and photographic proof back to Finch, and their response was to change their story and be rude to us. Considering the evidence, I feel the service technician who completed the initial inspection is either incompetent or unethical. The service manager was upset with us for saying this, as if we’re putting him out, yet is avoiding the fact and not answering for us, how a wire on our vehicle gets cut off. Not only is this terrible customer service, their behaviour is despicable. As an added note, when I was paying the invoice after the initial inspection, the receptionist actually said she’d never known mice to do so much damage to cars until she started working there, and now she sees it all the time. I wonder how many times Finch tells people mice have voided their warranties…. More

Dealer installed tow package is a joke. Bought our Durango from Finch Chrysler and the sales experience was positive however the service department is a whole different story. We paid an ex Bought our Durango from Finch Chrysler and the sales experience was positive however the service department is a whole different story. We paid an extra $995.00 to have a dealer installed tow package (big mistake). I researched online to find out what the tow package consist’s of compared to what we received: - full size spare (NOPE) - larger capacity cooling (NOPE) - rear self levelling suspension (NOPE) - trailer hitch receiver (YES) - 4 and 7 pin connectors (YES) - bumper cover (YES) colour matched (NOPE) What a joke at a 1000 bucks but this is where the story gets interesting. We hooked up our brand new travel trailer and the electric brakes didn’t work so we take it to the trailer dealer to see what the problem could be. They test the connector and determine that there is no power at the 7 pin for the electric brakes. They recommended to take it back to the dealer and have them correct the problem. We called our salesman and he put us through to the service manager (still to this day they haven’t returned our phone call). We book the truck in for our free oil change and to fix the trailer wiring. My wife is waiting in the waiting room (3 hours total) and they are calling me (in Kingston) to inform me that they only wire up for the lighting and not the electric brakes. However if I want them to look into the wiring for the electric brakes that it would be at my.expense....what did I pay 1000 dollars for??? Your Dealer installed tow package is a rip-off!!! I ended up going to another Dodge dealer to rectify the issue with the trailer wiring (And it’s being fixed under warrenty). Finch Chrysler you can keep your 4 free oil changes (I would rather pay for them from your competitor) More

Oil , Lube and Filter 4th one free coupon not honoured. Brought in my van to get an oil lube and filter done for the 4th time , which according to the promo was supposed to be free. Was told by the service Brought in my van to get an oil lube and filter done for the 4th time , which according to the promo was supposed to be free. Was told by the service advisor John that the promo had been discontinued and there was nothing he could do , and that I would have to talk to the manager. I realize that the service advisor is just the messanger doing his job , but I think that this is a very poor example of customer service. I can understand if you discontinue a promo not offering the card anymore , but in the name of customer service you could at least honour the cards that are full. So I would not recommend this dealer to anyone for oil lube and filter changing based on price and not honouring their agreements. Also 2.5 hrs to wait for an oil lube and filter is way to long! I do have to also add that I did have some engine service work done that they completely covered all costs, but they need to work on some of their other customer service areas. More
