DEPOSIT GIVEN, SERVICE UNFORGIVEN and PROMISES BROKEN. On January 21st of 2022, I came to Eastern Chrysler on 1900 Main st. hoping to trade my Tesla and get a good deal on a new Wrangler. I dealt with On January 21st of 2022, I came to Eastern Chrysler on 1900 Main st. hoping to trade my Tesla and get a good deal on a new Wrangler. I dealt with Gabe Carlos then Dion the Sales Manager backed him up. The reason why I came to this dealership is because Gabe told me about this 2022 wrangler I inquired about was available via email and all I needed was to come in. Sadly when I came in, I wasted my time because the jeep wasn't available and I wasn't able to look at it because it is apparently "in transit". So I get it, he wanted me to go to the dealer so they can persuade me with their sales talk abilities and tactics. Gabe even said a "No obligation options review" but when I was there I felt pushed by the two of them staring at me (Gabe and Dion) waiting on my decision if I would say yes to their said deal. I even told them I need to see the vehicle first because I might change my mind while the vehicle is on transit, but because of the awkwardness while with them staring at me for good 15 minutes I said yes and initialed on the quote paper. They wanted me to deposit to secure the jeep which I totally understood and so I deposited $500 and hoping to get the jeep in 2 weeks time. 2 weeks is what they promised me since it was already in transit. More than 2 weeks have passed but there was still no sign of the 2022 Wrangler and not even a single call from the dealership for any update. I reached out to Gabe for some questions regarding the jeep as he was my salesperson but he took 3 days to reply. He also said the jeep should arrive in a couple of days...but guess what? No, it didn't. It seemed unprofessional to me since it appeared that he was not eager to get back to me or help me just because I deposited already. Moreover, since nobody was updating me and it has been 16 days already (passed the promised delivery time), I called the dealership myself and asked for an update but now was told that it will probably take another week!?. This is very unacceptable in my line of work since I really needed the vehicle especially with this snowy weather and for the safety of my newborn son. I waited more than 2 weeks and was patient, but I had to make a decision so I went to another dealership and I was blessed enough that a brand new jeep just came in their lot. The dealership gave me a good deal on my tesla and a good deal for the new jeep. So as a sign of respect and for professionalism and to give Eastern a second chance for breaking their promises and not for giving me unsatisfying service, I informed Jeff in finance and asked if Eastern can match their offer but Dion says no and If I said yes to this dealership 500$ will be forfeited. I find this very unfair since the business and the PROMISE they provided WAS NOT COMPLETED and wasn’t delivered on TIME. Dion even emailed me about the purchase agreements from the MMDA website insinuating that I have agreed to purchase two units from different stores. I don't even know if his intentions were to scare me off since I didn't even sign a purchase agreement YET. I did sign my initials on the quote thing (didn't even know that its an offer to purchase) and deposited. I just wished it was all explained in details. In my line of work, we EXPLAIN these things specially the amount that they deposit and whether it is refundable or not before they sign on anything. After explaining these things to Dion, he agreed to refund the deposit and he said Jeff will call me about the refund, again 5 days later I texted Jeff and he read it but no answer. Like what kind of business is this? What can you get for a $500 and why do I need to chase for it? This is not good for business! I guess because they don't have a general manager in place??! Too bad , I would never recommend EASTERN CHRYSLER on 1900 MAIN St. ! They can have my $500 but they can never have my REFERRALS! Please beware!!!! More
