Amazing experience at Easter Chrysler (with Jason Giddings) I recently purchased a used vehicle from Eastern Chrysler (a 2014 Cadillac SRX). I hadn't initially considered going to Eastern Chrysler, as I was loo I recently purchased a used vehicle from Eastern Chrysler (a 2014 Cadillac SRX). I hadn't initially considered going to Eastern Chrysler, as I was looking for a good used vehicle and had mentally only associated Eastern with new vehicles, but thanks to a competing used car dealer (McWilliam Auto)...that is exactly where I ended up. I had been shopping at several used car dealerships, I was searching for a very specific model (the Cadillac SRX), and I had only found 1 for sale in the city (at McWilliam Auto) so I went to take a look. My experience was terrible, the vehicle was in awful shape, the dealer was trying to hide obvious mechanical and body issues, and while I loved the Cadillac SRX, the one available at McWilliam Auto was clearly not the one for me. As I was polity telling the salesman that their Cadilac SRX was just not for me, in an attempt to secure my business, the salesman showed me 1 other 2014 SRX for sale on Kijiji (at Eastern Chrysler), and said "look there is only 1 other 2014 SRX available in the city and it is $2000 more that ours, why not just buy ours"....I polity said thank you and left to go check out Eastern Chrysler. What an amazing choice that was, Jason Giddings and the team at Eastern Chrysler made my entire experience so wonderful and relaxing. Jason saw to my every want and need, and never once tried to sell my on anything I couldn't afford. Jason was informative, caring pleasant and fun (which are not words most people would associate with buying a used vehicle). I ended up getting the vehicle I wanted, for a price I was happy with...and Jason made it all happen for me. Even in the few months after buying my vehicle fro Eastern Chrysler, Jason has kept in regular touch to ensure that I am happy with my purchase. I could not be happier. I will definitely be back the next time I need a vehicle., and I would certainly recommend Jason and the Eastern Chrysler team to anyone searching for a new or used vehicle. More
Rude and shady sales tactics When i came to buy a new truck i had a very bad experience with the sales rep i was given. Not only was she not giving me the information i was asking When i came to buy a new truck i had a very bad experience with the sales rep i was given. Not only was she not giving me the information i was asking for, she had a rude tone and attitude. Ginas sales tactics really offended me. And i got a little angry because my mom has had these sales tactics used on her to get a non favorable purchase on her twice. As my first attempt at buying from a dealership myself i was very disappointed. Im very busy and came there dirty from working so maybe she thought i was poor. I have to deal with and sell my product and services to my customers and i couldnt imagine the was she talked to me even when i was getting frustrated with her. Ive dealt with customers who are frustrated or irritated before, always with a calm tone and smile on my face. All i see with a difficult person is the dollar amount there is on the sale, which is what im being paid to put up with and satisfy their needs. I was a little irritated coming in after working 10hrs but was excited to shop for a new truck, i made a joke that you they needed to sell some of those vehicles since my truck barely fit through the lot to get to the street to park, and i had to cram all my tools into the cab from the box.(2 hiltijackhammers, stihl 16in quickie, ics 695f4 and some smaller tools and toolboxes. 400pounds and 12k worth of tools im leaving in my truck that i cant see, of course im not having a good experience already, i load and unload heavy tools all day, having to move 400pounds an extra 2 times sucks). I have a mega cab with 8ft box at over 22feet. She snapped with a tone telling me those are customers who are here buying vehicles as if im the idiot for making a JOKE about needing to sell vehicles when im ready to buy a vehicle asap, at that point i was even more sour those vehicles had no plates so they were not customer vehicles, im not rude so i dont snap with a respose to make her feel like the idiot. It was so hard to get a price, and she then tells me i can check prices online myself, uhhh ok, does she even deserve the commission from this with that attitude? I ask for sale price and lease and she would only give me the lease price. Then when i add the numbers she tells me to forget the numbers and im thinking too much and not to think about the price. Its sad that her sales tactics actually works on people. When i asked for the price of the eco diesel she said over 70k, on their website its 70k minus 25%. Yea i want the eco diesel, not at 70k when others are selling new 2017 eco diesels for 48k. I wanted the price of the cheapest gas truck to compare to the ecodiesel, just to convince myself more to buy the eco diesel. For being there for 2 hours i got nothing i asked for just a lease price i wasnt too curious about. Not only that she pulled our credit when we didnt even get a price or look at a truck or get close to even needing our information pulled, and tried to trap us by saying if we pull credit at another dealship we will ruin our credit by "credit shopping" .....does that sales tactic work? Its stupid and made me mad since it scared my soon to be wife. I normally don't care and wouldnt waste my time complaining but this really made me mad, and was not what i expected when coming to an establishment which sells expensive vehicles that is also commission based. My wife told me in the philippines (the sales women is filipino as is my soon to be wife, im half filipino) people who are dirty are seen as poor, i told her that in canada if you look strong and dirty people view you as rich, thats how i see it, my friends in construction make close to 100k at hourly jobs, farmers are rich and have several pieces of equipment worth a couple million. So maybe its a little bit of a culture thing, she thought i was poor, her attitude was a little better after she pulled credit but she still didnt give me the information i wanted and was asking her for repeatedly. Do i look stupid? I know we look young but dont judge a book by its cover. SHOULD BE AVOIDED LIKE THE PLAGUE. More
Buyer beware used vehicles - helpful tip! I give one star to Antoney for his aftermarket service. Bought a used vehicle within the last 30 days - vehicle was delivered with peanut shells and I give one star to Antoney for his aftermarket service. Bought a used vehicle within the last 30 days - vehicle was delivered with peanut shells and chocolate bar wrappers left in it. Vehicle had lots of dust on it, but understandable as it's very windy in Winnipeg - didn't think much of it at the time. Noticed after two weeks in my possession that the vehicle's fluids were all low after having personally checked them - coolant, brake fluid and window washer fluid were all low. After washing and hand waxing the vehicle noticed some scrapes, damage to front moulding and a hair line crack to the head light... Called about this today and there is nothing they will do for me. Says that it is impossible it got missed in inspection, and at one point had said verbatum the information presented was "made up"!! Actually implied that I damaged the vehicle! Don't get me wrong... service was great during the purchase phase... DO NOT FILL IN THAT AFTER PURCHASE SURVEY FOR AT LEAST 30 DAYS AFTER - THAT SURVEY IS NOT SOLELY FOR YOUR SATISFACTION RATING - THERE IS A REASON THEY HOUND YOU TO FILL IT OUT RIGHT AWAY AND THAT IS TO COVER THEIR BEHINDS! They will do nothing to help after the fact. Antoney made zero attempts to rectify the situation as he knows its our word against the dealerships... Antoney said there is no way and no room even for human error to be a possible reason the fluids and damage were over looked when asked... said it was not possible. Well was it that same standard and service level you brag about that was the reason for the chocolate bar wrappers and peanut shells missed Mr Chelliah?? If this simple cleaning task was missed then there is a super high possibility other things on the car were missed. I feel taken advantage of as I am an older person who does not buy vehicles but once every 10-15 years. This vehicle has barely left my garage since it's purchase, and this is a pretty sad day as I have never been treated so poorly after spending tens of thousands! More
