Customer entered service department, greeted with hi can I help you, replied fine, customer asked if he could get an oil change, adviser replied yes but the wait is around 2 hours because of other customers ahead of him, the customer asked for a ride, the adviser informed him that the shuttle does not run on Saturdays, the customer replied ok I'll be back at noon the adviser suggested to leave the vehicle at the time in order to phase it in, the adviser asked the customer if he had been a previous customer and replied maybe a while ago, the adviser could not find him in the system and asked for the ownership to get the details of the vehicle, the customer replied "I'll get it from the car and come right back but never returned.

Dear Mr.Stirpe, I appreciate you looking into this matter. I totally understand and very happy that your service department is extremely busy and fully booked. That is great news for our Canadian economy. What I was really disappointed with is the way your service rep. presented your firm. He needs to be trained on how to speak to prospective clients. We are all busy in our work and doing multi tasking to over achieve. However, this does not give us the right to treat other with disrespect. Your service advisor may not have even noticed that he was miss treating a client as it was mostly his non-verbal body language. He should be reminded that since he is in the "service" industry putting on a smile may not be such a bad idea. There are many ways of saying the same thing, For example I can say Shut up and sit Down or Please sir keep your voice down and have sit...let me get you a glass of water. All I am saying is don't get a job in a "service" oriented position if you are not up to it... Service just like sales requires the individual to be fresh, up beat, speak clearly, be courtious and polite, and most importantly watch your body language. Anyway I wish you all the best. Mr.Stirpe, Thank you so much for your offer of no charge oil chagne. I was hoping you did not offer that to me. I have no issues with paying for a "Great" Service. You deserve to get paid for the services you offer to your clients and it's your right to make money. It is also my right as a client to spend my money where I feel I am appreciated, taken care of and given a "service". Again, thank you for the offer and I respectfully decine as I was not looking for a free oil change. I really, turyly in my heart hope that you speak to all your staff on your next sales, service staff meeting and remind them that they are in the business of providing a "service" and they should always remember that if they don't feel that they can do that they should look else where for employment. have a great day.
