This was my first choice for buying a new VW, Danny was very helpful but at that moment they did not have any brochures in stock. Since the price was better at VW-Downtown Toronto, I bought the car from th very helpful but at that moment they did not have any brochures in stock. Since the price was better at VW-Downtown Toronto, I bought the car from them. Big mistake! The second visit was to buy motor oil & filter. The oil was better and the price was lower than Canadian Tire has. Very friendly staff. Third visit was not so succsessful, I needed an oil filter wrench, "we don't sell tools"! Other VW dealers do. Fourth time I was there for the 15,000km regular maintainance. My concerns were addressed professionally and the car was tested thoroughly, I was feared about some problems with the manual transmission and they did 18km. There was no problem after all. My only (small) complaint was about the car wash, I declined the complimentary car wash, they did it anyway, probably it is needed to check the body. The car was washed but stained, probably because they did not wipe it. However, being careful with my car I prefer this instead a superficial abrasive drying cloth. I waited 3 weeks after my last visit to write this review, so I try to be as objective as possible. Finally, YES, I do recommend this VW dealer both for buying a car and also for service. Friendly and knowledgeable staff will help you there. More
I made a deal with the dealer to purchase a used SUV. I signed the paperwork, provided a deposit, applied and received approval for financing and was provided a pick up date to bring in my trade in and pic signed the paperwork, provided a deposit, applied and received approval for financing and was provided a pick up date to bring in my trade in and pick up the new vehicle. I was called 48 hours later and told the dealer would not honour the deal that I signed. They would not honour it as they made an error on their valuation of my trade-in. When discussing with the used car manager, I was told too bad and would need to cover their mistake. In any other business, if an employee makes an error, it is not the fault of the customer. I would never ever recommend or deal with this dealer again. I bought the same vehicle from another Volkswagon dealer without issue. More
Worst experience ever!! They managed to turn a routine service visit into a 3 month nightmare. Never go here and never deal with Ray. He wouldn't return calls, wouldn't give us answers and wouldn't help i service visit into a 3 month nightmare. Never go here and never deal with Ray. He wouldn't return calls, wouldn't give us answers and wouldn't help in ANY way. We will never step foot in this dealership again. More
I took my VW Golf 2000 for an oil change to the VW dealership (Don Valley Volkswagen Toronto ) where it has been serviced for the last five years since I bought it. During the oil change they broke th dealership (Don Valley Volkswagen Toronto ) where it has been serviced for the last five years since I bought it. During the oil change they broke the drain plug from the oil pan and charged me for over 300$ to replace the oil pan. I have asked them to give me a discount since it was basically their fault that the drain plug cracked - they must have overtightened the plug in one of the previous oil changes - all oil changes were done by them. They didn't want to give me any discount claiming that this kind of thing just happens out of the blue - the car is bearly 5 yrs old and we had less than 10 oil changes in these 5 yrs since we do not drive it too much. Even assuming that they did everything properly, the fact the the drain plug cracked after less than 10 oil changes means that the oil pans they have are really low quality. They always say that you should take your car to the dealership for services since other mechanics don't know how to handle the car. This is total BS - they have no clue what they're doing either and you pay twice the price you'd pay at another shop. <br>What really dissappointed me - besides the low quality service they provide for the kind of money they charge - is the way they treat their customers. I dealt with a lot of companies before (personally and professionally as well) and was never treated with the kind of disrespect and arrogance these guys showed. Their customer service REALLY SUCKS - I wonder how they want to keep their customers. They lost me for sure - I've been driving VW all my life but my next car won't be a VW. Hope other people read this message and think twice before they buy a VW. Besides the fact that there have been a lot of quality and safety issues with the VW's lately you don't want to buy a car from a company who doesn't give a xxxx about you and charges you for their own mistakes More
