I was looking to replace our old Hyundai Elantra wagon that served our family well for 15 years. During all those years we (I mean our family here) developed a trust to the brand, so we wanted to buy anot that served our family well for 15 years. To "qualify" for a family car though it had to be a wagon again - for us a SUV or "mini"-van did seem to be a reasonably good alternative. After a little research I discovered that if you want a small wagon - Volkswagen is currently the only brand available in North America... unless you don't mind to get a used one. Looking closely at the wagon from Volkswagen I realized that I would likely buy it anyway - even if wagons from other manufacturers were available. ...because it had all the qualities you may dream for: a lot of cargo space, compliance with highest safety standards, exceptional fuel economy (in par with hybrids - provided you get a car with diesel engine), German reputation of quality (although the car itself is built in Mexico) and a lot of other goodies which make owning/driving the car efficient, safe and fun. So when we come with my wife to the dealership we knew what we wanted (were not sure about the vehicle's trim though). In few minutes after we came in Emil approached us and offered a help. Thanks to Emil we had an exceptionally pleasurable experience with the dealership: he completely dedicated himself to us - explained and showed us trims differences, showed in-depth knowledge of Volkswagen cars while answering all our questions and was very patient while waiting for us outside in the cold being just in a light coat when we were sitting with my wife inside different vehicles comparing trim differences. He also proved to be very tolerant when during test drive my wife behaved a bit erratic (I expected to drive by happened to forget my driving license). What we also liked about Emil was - we didn't feel any sales pressure, he didn't ask about any commitments or talked prices. Our positive experience with Emil didn’t end there. When it came to purchase the car I very well prepared myself to price negotiations – purchased price report from Car Cost Canada, checked other relevant sites (unhaggle.com, autocheatsheet.com, …), created excel sheet with formulae to recalculate financing and other numbers “on-the-fly”. But to my surprise, without much need for my “negotiation efforts” Emil was able to arrange a substantial discount from MSRP – even better than we expected. And finally – Emil spent almost 2 hours with me in the car when I came to pick it up from the dealership going much beyond of his regular working hours. He showed me the whole car, thoroughly explained all driving controls, helped to connect my phone to multimedia system, and showed how to use navigation system. Overall it has been the best car-purchase experience in my life. Would highly recommend this dealership (and Emil specifically) to my friends and colleagues. More

I just bought a brand new Volkswagen Jetta TDI and I could not be happier! After about 20 minutes with Emil, I was ready to purchase and was very happy with the number we agreed on. He understood my need to stay on budget and even found me a rebate that none of the other dealers had mentioned. Emil was a gem to work with, absolutely professional, however still made me feel very comfortable and not like your typical sales person......you know the type, very pushy and arogant because I am a women. He was very open, honest and sincere.not just on the prowel for a sale. Emil took his time with me and answered all my questions.....even the stupid ones and did not make me feel bad for asking.. Having purchased my vehicle at another dealership and not happy at all with the work they performed and lack of willing to listen to my complaints correctly I decided to visit Don Valley Volkswagen. Richard listened to all of my issues I was having with my vehicle and sure enough they found all my problems and fixed them on my first visit's without having to return to have the problem dealt with again and again. Aside from waiting for parts for a vehicle which is at no fault to any dealer. Having said that they do have a very large inventory of parts so chances are they can get it repaired on the first day. Other dealers I have visited have always ignored my problems with my car and low and behold first visit these problems I had were confirmed and fixed! I will continue to use Don valley volkswagen and Richard to service my vehicle and recommend him and the dealer to others. More
