We generally found it to be a good experience, however after making an appointment for a specified time I had to wait for over an hour (with my younch child). That was inconvenient for us. My wife and I were return customers to Sunshine Toyota. We purchased a Toyota 4Runner from Sunshine in 2007. When we decided to trade in our 4Runner for a 2011 Limited Edition we were happy to come back to Sunshine...in spite of the fact we live 3 hours outside of the city. As far as we are concerned the management and staff went above and beyond to make our buying experience as seamless as possible. We were confident in our decision to return and do business with Sunshine. Young, Mike and Dale did not disappoint either of us. Sunshine Toyota and their staff embody what so many other customer service oriented businesses are lacking today..."Professionalism, Courtesy and Client Centered Service! Young, Mike and Dale.....you guys rock!!! We are loving our new 2011 Limited Edition "Blizzard Pearl" with the "Nav Package". From the start, I was treated extremely well. Mark Johnson took the time to call me back and arrange a meeting the next day. He was on time and we took a test drive in a new Rav4 right away. I was impressed with his knowledge of the vehicle. He's very friendly and it was a pleasure doing business with them. I then saw Mike Cunningham to arrange the lease. He was also very friendly and knowledgeable about the financing, etc. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. I'm not surprised, as I just traded in my 2005 Echo, which I purchased from Sunshine Toyota and had all my servicing done by them. I'm very impressed with the operation as a whole and pleased to continue my relationship with Toyota and this dealership. More

From start to finish this has been nothing but a huge hassle and you can trust neither myself nor any of my friends or family will be purchasing from Sunshine Toyota ever again. When I walked in to purchase a vehicle on Monday March 21st there were 3 conditions to the purchase: I wanted an SUV I did not want to pay more than $20,000 I had to be able to drive it home the same day After I looked at the Rav 4 I ended up purchasing I told Steven I wanted to go back to the Hyundai dealership and look at a Santa Fe I had looked at earlier then decide between the two. The Santa Fe was to be ready to go that night. He asked what he could do to prevent me from leaving, to stay and purchase the Rav 4. I asked what time the Rav 4 would be ready and he said 7:00 pm (this was at 4:00 pm). So I said OK, we signed the papers. I was to go and come back at 7:00 pm when it was ready. He called me not 5 minutes later and said that actually, it might not be ready to go tonight. I told him it had to be ready, I had no way home and I do not live in the city. My Boyfriend who dropped me off there had gone to work and I needed a vehicle to take me home Monday night, and back into the city Tuesday AM and to work. He told me he would look into it and make sure it would be ready. Call after call, I kept getting the same answer, the car would not be ready and they would absolutely not provide a way home for me. I asked for a loaner car and was denied one because "there are only 3 plates" I asked how many test drives they do between 9:00 pm when they close and 10:00 am when I would bring the car back and he said "lots"... I asked if they would rent a car from a rental company for me and they said absolutely not. I called every hour until 9:00 pm when I was informed they were now closed. I told him that the salesman from Hyundai I was talking to called me (which he did) and told me that if I wanted I could head down there now and drive home in the Santa Fe I looked at. Only after I said this did they finally manage to get me a loaner car to drive home. Steven brought it to my sister's house (where I stayed for the day while I was in the city) AND THEN ASKED ME TO DROP HIM OFF DOWN TOWN! I believe this was extremely disrespectful, inappropriate, and unprofessional. My sister lives near Logan and Keewaitin, and I live out of the city about 45 min away and he wants me to detour an hour out of my way so he can get home conveniently after I spent the entire day begging for him to get me home after he broke his promise (lie) to me.. He changed his mind after my response and I only had to drop him off 2 blocks away... Still completely inappropriate, he should have walked. On Tuesday March 22 I was to bring the loaner car back around 10:00 am. I had 2 appointments prior to that and the last one was going to be done sooner than I thought so I sent Steven Skok a text message letting him know I would be there around 9:30 am. I sent it at 7:55 am. I did not get a reply until 8:45 am and he said "be there for 10:15 please". He called 5 minutes later explaining he had slept in and was still in bed and wouldn’t be there until after 10:00 am. I told him I was already in the city, my appointment was done and I was on my way there, where else was I to go? After that conversation someone from Sunshine Toyota (I'm thinking his manager) called me and said not to be there until 10:30. Again, I told him I was on my way there, I had no where else to go at this point, what was I to do? Just sit in the parking lot until they were ready for me? He said fine, just come then. I got there and waited, signed more papers, asked about the history report I had still not seen (that this sale is conditional on) and was told it is in the envelope of papers I was given. When I got home my Boyfriend looked through everything and the history report was not there. On Wednesday the 23rd I sent a text message at 9:17 am to Steven Skok asking him to fax it to me at 338-9475 asap. He replied that it was his day off. On Thursday the 24th I sent another text message at 1:55 pm asking for the paperwork to be faxed. His reply was that he forgot and would it be better if I just picked them up on Monday the 28th when I dropped the car off to be cleaned? I replied that I was going to my parents house that night (Thursday night) and my dad wanted to see all the papers and everything so I really needed them asap. I asked again (at 2:16 pm) for him to fax them to 338-9475 before 4:00 pm that day. He then replied that he would do it tomorrow as Cory had the file either in his office or in accounting and he was off that day so he would fax it tomorrow. I replied "I guess if you can't get to it but shouldn't I have gotten this the day I got the car?" He replied "tomorrow will come fast".... I asked what do I tell my dad in the mean time then because he is going to want to know. Steven Skok said "tell him you will give it to him tomorrow". I told him that "my dad might be calling the manager then" He doesn’t like lazy people or people who try to take advantage of others. Steven Skok's exact reply at 2:40 pm: "It will not get done today I WANT TO GIVE IT TO YOU! But the manager dealing with your file has the day off. The other managers are not in the office right now. And accounting is closed in 20 min. It has to be later cause I can’t do it I'm trying I'll fax it tomorrow It's just another day it will pass fast". That is the last I heard from him. He did not fax it on Friday the 25th as he promised, nor the 26th, 27th, and when I dropped the car off at noon on the 28th for it's cleaning, he was not in the office at that time and there had been no mention of any paperwork. I asked the woman at the front desk to have him get it ready for me when I picked the car up around 8:00 pm. When I got back, still no paper, still no Steven. I left my fax number with the girl at the desk when I picked up the car at 8:00 pm and she said she would have him send it on Tuesday the 29th. Well he didn't, I didn't get it yesterday, and it hasn't come yet today. It is now TEN days after the day I bought the car and I still do not have the paperwork that the sale is conditional on. So please Don Saranchuck, can you explain to me WHAT is going on? What is Steven trying to hide from me because now I get the feeling there is something on that history report that he does not want me to see. Also, when I went to Sunshine Toyota to get my car after it was cleaned Monday the 28th, it was parked and the lights were left on, I thought that was weird and then I noticed it was running, in the parking lot with no one around. Anyone could have just hopped in and driven my car away. When I went in and told them I was there to pick it up, the girl was getting quite worried looking for the keys for it until I told her it was running, she said "it's what?" and I said "Its running out there". She went out took the keys from it and brought them back to me. From the look on her face and the fact that she went off and told someone about it right away I could tell that was not something that was acceptable. When I went in and started it all the fans were on high and the windows were cracked and they had used 1/4 tank of gas letting it run, trying to dry it. I really did not appreciate that. So this was my experience with Sunshine Toyota, and it's not even over yet as I still do not have a history report. Please have it faxed to me today before 8:00 pm. 338-9475 I absolutely do not want to deal with Steven Skok ever again or even have to talk to him. He is the typical slimy car salesman who will say anything to make the deal happen but not follow through. I will not ever be returning to Sunshine Toyota for anything in the future. Salesperson Mark Johnson was absolutely wonderful to work with. His knowledge and presentaion of the various vehicles was outstanding. Mark couldn't have been nicer. In fact, all of the staff we worked with were most courteous and congenial and did not act as if they were in a hurry to get us out the door or pressure us to make decisions in any way. It was most appreciated as our time to purchase a vehicle was short and critical, but a very big decision. Yousef Assaf was also very friendly and accomodating while working out the final price. Mike Cunningham presented information about the financing and protection plans very clearly. He was also very personable and even helpful with local information. He helped us in making decisions about the options as we are new to Canada, having just moved from Florida, and were not sure of the conditions a vehicle will undergo here. The group helped us when we had trouble getting the plates because of coming from the US and not documented as residents at that point. And they had everything installed and ready in a timely manner, even though they had to locate a vehicle that met our requests. All said, we couldn't be happier with the pleasant and efficient service we experienced. We look forward to continuing our relationship with Sunshine Toyota. More
