My husband and I had made an appointment with Sunshine Toyota about 2 weeks before our appointment date. We had informed them that we did intend on purchasing a Tacoma. Sunshine had the best price for wha Toyota about 2 weeks before our appointment date. We had informed them that we did intend on purchasing a Tacoma. Sunshine had the best price for what we wanted from all of the other Toyota Dealers in Winnipeg. We arrived early for our appointment after we had just arrived in the city from our vacation 'Out East'. Our plan was to trade in our old vehicle for the new Tacoma and drive 13 hours North (where we live) the following day with our new vehicle. We arrived at Sunshine Toyota at about 1:00pm and did not leave with our new Tacoma until 7:30pm ! We thought that 6.5 hours was a bit too long when we had an appointment and told them we would be buying a vehicle that day. The excessive time seemed to come from the managers and financial services. I have never purchased a brand new vehicle before so I don't know if this is a normal time span or not. If it is, they should look into making the process faster. When we got the paper work started with Kristen Dare, we specifically said we want our monthly payments to be $XXX/month and that we did not want any extended warranty or insurances. She said she had to read through all of it because people in the past had said they were never told about these services. Each time we said no to one warranty or insurance package, she would read another one. Of course this would add thousands of dollars (close to $10 000 in one instance) to our new vehicle. It seemed like she was really trying to push these things on us. However, Zac Friesen was excellent. He was friendly, helpful and since we had our dog with us from our vacation, he let us bring our dog into the dealership because it was too hot to leave him in our vehicle. Zac was able to offer us a good price and answered all of our questions. Also, since we were there for a long period of time we noticed that the other sales reps. were very friendly as well. In the year before we had visited another Winnipeg Toyota Dealership (Frontier)since we were shopping around and although the price was higher, the service was exceptional. If we had to do this experience over again we are really unsure of whether or not we would choose Sunshine Toyota. More

At first, I was really intimidated to go car shopping because I don't really know much about cars. However, the process of buying a car went really smooth because Andriy was very friendly and great at li because I don't really know much about cars. He was very knowledgeable about the different features and patiently explained them to us. He stayed late 3 days in a row to help us purchase the car and at our request spoke with his managers to negotiate the price. Ji was just great at the delivery of the vehicle, super nice and explained everything very patiently and efficiently. Overall, very happy with the experience and would recommend this dealership. More

Jackie also assisted us with the paperwork, only downside is during the discussion of the documents when we had questions, she had mentioned that she had "another customer waiting" when my pregnant wife was in the bathroom. I didn't appreciate that as buying a car is not just buying clothes that you can pay for in a day. We had waited patiently for our turn. More
Mike was a great salesperson to deal with. He was knowledgeable, pleasant, patient, and gave us a good deal for a car we were interested in. When we came back to pick up the car, Ji Yuan was the one knowledgeable, pleasant, patient, and gave us a good deal for a car we were interested in. When we came back to pick up the car, Ji Yuan was the one who provided us with very detailed explanation and instructions how to use our car. He was also really nice and patient. I like that the sales persons are not pushing you to purchase a product you are not interested in, they explain process of buying a new car flawless. I decided to buyout the leased car when the lease was up. That was when the pain began. First, I did Manitoba government safety inspection in the service department. I found the price was not right since I checked the MPI website. MPI allows an inspection station charge maximum $55+GST for a safety inspection. But they charged extra shop supplies and PST. I asked Mr. John Reyes immediately but he denied. Then I called MPI and made sure the charge should be $55+GST. And I went back to the service department to ask my money back. They just sniffed at me. NO APOLOGIES AT ALL. Then with Ms. Kristin Dare to arrange for the buyout. At the first appointment, I gave her the certificate of inspection. And she said she would call me to tell me the final payment for buyout. But she never called me. Then I called her the day before the appointment. Surprisingly, she was even not aware of this and asked if I did safety inspection even though I did have given the dealer's copy to her at the first appointment. I went to the appointment next day, but I had to wait even though there were no customers in her offices. And she didn't have the paper work ready for my appointment. I think it is better to have the paper work ready for your customers' case before their appointments. NO explanation, no apologies, no greetings even! More
