We went into the dealership to have an oil change done on our older vehicle and not expecting to be able to purchase a new vehicle let alone two new ones. I'm one of those people that absolutely dreads going to buy a car. I'm ready to dig in my heals and fight for everything that I want or need. Walking onto the lot at Crosstown I was immediately put at e to buy a car. I'm ready to dig in my heals and fight for everything that I want or need. Walking onto the lot at Crosstown I was immediately put at ease. We met up with Moose our salesman. He asked us what we were looking for and a price range. Moose listened very closely to our request and showed us a couple of options. We really liked the Dodge Journey crossover. Moose knowing we were looking to buy offered us a Journey to test drive for a day or two. The more we drove it the better we liked it. We brought back the test driver and it was time to get down to business. Moose was very thorough with his explanation of the MSRP and the discounts that were offered by the dealership. He readily answered our questions and found the color and trim package that we wanted. I was very satisfied with the final cost. The best part is Moose didn't have to go see some mysterious person in the back to approve the deal. I personally hate dealerships that do that. I always wondered if they are talking with someone or just trying to sweat you. He found the Journey we wanted at another dealership and had it shipped to Crosstown. He called me saying the Journey was on the lot and he was getting it detailed. Great! We would be able to pick it up that evening. Later that afternoon he called me back saying there was a scratch in the driver's door and they were trying to polish it out. This is certainly information that he didn't need to tell us. I said ok sounds good. A couple of hours later Moose called me back again. He told me the "he" was refusing delivery because the Journey was not to his standards. Wow! Anyone else heard of such a thing?? I haven't. Moose then told me that he's going to track down another one. Well he did. In Fort McMurray, so it would be at least another day to take delivery. Ok no problem. We were very happy to see that when we went to pick it up the Journey there were only 4 kms on it. Moose did a great job going over it with us, explaining in detail how all the fancy gadgets worked. Off to see Jeremy to sign the papers. Jeremy was a great person. We talked more about MMA, Wrestling and Karate then anything else. We all had a good laugh about it. Great job Jeremy!! Thanks to Crosstown and their exceptional staff. Jerry on the other hand heard me loud and clear, and as able to come back with the perfect vehicle for me. The payments stayed exactly where I needed them to be - in fact, actually came back a few dollars less than I expected. Jerry and Marko's respectful treatment made this a great experience. No-one likes to be manipulated or talked over, and buying a vehicle should, in my opinion, be a relatively enjoyable experience. The team here made that happen.
