I needed to charge my 2025 ioniq 6 and stopped at this dealership. I asked if I could get a quick charge (10 minutes) to get me home. I checked the closing time and they closed at 4pm and it was 3pm when I asked. This is not the type of treatment I expected from a Hyundai dealership after owning several Hyundai vehicles in the past 10+ years and I am very disappointed. More

Sunroof spontaneous explodes while I'm driving, and I think to myself, wow good thing I purchased extended warranty. I stupidly decide to have them fix it through my insurance anyways, and after nearly a month of them not communicating properly to my insurance, and having to ask them 4 times to send my insurance a simple document so my rental didn't get taken away, I finally get a call that my car is done. I go to pick it up and ask to see it before paying and sure enough theres still glass after they claimed to detail it. Then I had to wait another 4 days without my car waiting for them to properly vacuum it. The only good thing they did was give me a loaner car because I had already taken the rental back, but they never offered any discounts or anything on my bill after all of the xx they put me through. More

I had to ask for a copy of my sales receipt, this was not given freely. When I reviewed it, they had added $2,300 to the cost of the car to "buy down" the interest rate. Instead of telling me the interest rate comes from head office and is not negotiable, they tried to hide it in the purchase agreement and clearly they don't like customers reviewing the invoice too closely. I cancelled the sale, got my deposit back and went to a different dealership. I think I should have read the reviews before I started there, this seems to be common practice at Clarington Hyundai. Buyer beware at this dealership. More

The Service team is friendly, that is where my praise stops. I have my tires stored with them and they said it would be 4 weeks before we could get them installed (they are already mounted on rims), tota stops. I changed the tires in my driveway in the snow after picking up the tires at the dealership. It took 45 minutes for me to pick up the tires since all the service advisors were with customers, on the phone, or just nowhere to be found. I've also been here for simple oil changes which last anywhere from 2-4 hours (with an appointment) The last and final straw leading to this review is while swapping the tires in my driveway, I discovered the wrong lug nuts had been installed on the summer rim/tires and we're nowhere near the torque specs required. They used the tapered lug nuts instead of the flat lug nuts to match the profile of the rim. Totally amateur and 100% unacceptable. I dread going here for service. More

My recent experience highlighted that this dealership enhances the cost by adding a $599.00 administration fee, and a bizarre “protection” carefully. My recent experience highlighted that this dealership enhances the cost by adding a $599.00 administration fee, and a bizarre “protection” fee of $1667.00 which they claim is for a 3 year platinum membership for the dealership…NOT anything I requested. Add to that an unfathomable way of calculation HST which included paying HST on the air conditioning tax…a tax upon a tax. When I started asking too many questions I was notified the car was “sold”. Not an invitation to buy another as clearly they don’t like customers reviewing the invoice too closely. Buyer beware at this dealership. More
