Was met by a service writer on the phone who advised I have the car booked in for an inspection at my cost although I described the problem to her and then because I was not satisfied she understood the p have the car booked in for an inspection at my cost although I described the problem to her and then because I was not satisfied she understood the problem I said I would come in so someone who understood the problem could advise how to proceed, then I asked her to discuss the issue with a tech before I came in. When I arrived, it did not seem the problem had been discussed with a technician and she wanted to book the car in to have it inspected, at my cost. When I insisted, the shop foreman came to take a look and he agreed to have an estimate provided. After waiting a couple of days I called to get the estimate as i had not received any communication from the dealership. A few hours later I got a call and was given the estimate verbally. I asked for the estimate with a total including all costs and taxes to be sent by email. The email arrived soon after and I called and booked a time to have the repairs done. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle, the bill was considerably more than the total on the estimate. Miscellaneous charges (whatever they are) and taxes were not included in the estimate. This was a rather minor repair (replacement of the roof antenna) so my experience does not give me the confidence to recommend this dealership. More
