Unsure where to start with my recent experience at Capital Hyundai. Sooo many people having engine problems with A LOT of those vehicles and the customer service is next to none. My vehicle had been Capital Hyundai. Sooo many people having engine problems with A LOT of those vehicles and the customer service is next to none. My vehicle had been towed to the lot on a Friday, late in the afternoon. The following Monday after the weekend I started calling to check on it and see if the service team knew when they could get my vehicle in. No answer and no calls back. Tuesday tried again and the same thing. My Dad was calling for me as well and leaving messages, also no calls back. Wednesday came and still no calls back so I had no idea what was happening to my vehicle. My dad was working in the area that day so he decided to stop by on my behalf (I’m an hour away from the dealership). He was told my vehicle wasn’t on the lot as they couldn’t find it. At this point I had contacted the tow truck driver who had towed my vehicle to that location. He had not only dropped off my vehicle, but went inside and told a lady who the vehicle belonged to, serial number, where it was parked, etc. Obviously the message wasn’t passed on. Communication seems to be an issue. So I start calling back. Again no answer and at this point I’m thinking how can my vehicle be stolen if it doesn’t start? I called back the whole day leaving messages asking if my Vehicle had been located. At the end of the day I FINALLY got a call back asking me if I wanted to go ahead with work. My response was the last I heard my vehicle couldn’t be found. I was a little anxious about it all day as I had no vehicle to go check to ease my own mind. And just can’t get anyone to answer a phone and if you leave a message it isn’t acknowledged. This went on for about THREE WEEKS!! I would call and leave a message but would only hear from someone if they needed information from me. On Monday past, I decided I had given Hyundai enough of my money, I cancelled the work on my vehicle, sold it so I wouldn’t have to deal with this place anymore and purchased another vehicle elsewhere. Everyone tells me if I were to buy a vehicle that I wouldn’t have any trouble getting in contact with someone. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case either. A family member of mine has been wanting to purchase a new vehicle and had called Hyundai asking about the Santa Fe in particular. She called a few times before getting an answer, asked to speak with a salesperson. The lady who answered the phone told her she would have a salesperson call her right back. To this day she hasn’t received a call back and is now a happy owner and a brand new SUV from elsewhere. Customer service goes a long way. I loved my vehicle and planned to purchase another but just couldn’t justify it knowing what I was currently going through. I hope this improves. However I’ll never know because I won’t be back More

Those of you in the market for a new vehicle stay the xxxx away from Capital Hyundai. First of all, I will say I dearly loved the sales staff and this is why I continued to shop there. I hate pushy a xxxx away from Capital Hyundai. First of all, I will say I dearly loved the sales staff and this is why I continued to shop there. I hate pushy and I love friendly and funny. They were great! I bought brand new Elantra 1. Paid it off a few years early just to be rid of the vehicle loan. Motor went a few thousand kms after warranty. Replaced that myself. Vehicle in Ontario currently. Bought a Brand new Santa Fe XL, haven’t had an issue at all with her besides the normal brakes, oil changes and tires. She is a great vehicle. Now the first issue arises, a wheel bearing gone and they can’t service her until July 7th for me. That’s okay right? Because…. I bought another brand new Elantra a few months back for my daughter. Here is where my headache starts BAD. 11,000 kms on it and the noise starts and the oil is running out, before Easter. Towed in time #1 they changed oil, she is fixed come get her. Bring her home, she is NOT fixed. Towed back in #2- there is motor damage, we will order the parts but she is safe to drive, come get her. Gets her home, oil floods out again, noise is getting worse and worse. Tow her back time #3 and tell them no she isn’t safe to drive. The oil won’t stay in her and the motor is going to completely blow in traffic. They tell me I’m next on the list for a loaner & she will stay there until parts come in. So weeks pass by and everyday I’m told I am next on the list and they will call as soon as one is returned. I’m getting increasingly frustrated so I call in one day when the lady I’m dealing with happens not to be in. That day I’m told by somebody else I’m second on the list for a loaner. You’ve got to be kidding me? You’ve been lying to me all this time after I pumped over $100,000 into you guys in a span of a few years. Fabulous customer service right there. It was then my niceness disappeared & I actually lost my chit on them. I was NOT happy & will admit it openly. I was told I could rent a vehicle for $30 a day. Auh, no. I bought extended warranty and loaners are supposed to be covered. I’m already paying a fortune for a vehicle I cannot drive. Don’t get me wrong, I understand chit happens with cars. Should this chit happen with a 2020 that’s been driven since August? Well no but it did so I at least thought it would be professionally handled. I did not expect the run around and lies. The service manager turned around and told me- well you’re not a good service customer just a good sales customer. So? So what? Nothing requires me to get my work done there. After a day from xxxx and weeks of lies they offered me a FREE rental. Magically a loaner was returned before I picked it up. A few weeks later, my Elantra was returned again “fixed!” And loaner was returned to Hyundai. So this was last week. Tonight, we watched the oil flood out of the “fixed” Elantra and I’m currently waiting on a tow truck to come take the junk out of my driveway. Bottom line is, right now 2 of my vehicles are under complete warranty, I pay over $1700 a MONTH for car payments and insurance on them both & I have no darn vehicle to drive. I would still have the rental if I wasn’t told over and over my car was fixed. I know tomorrow will be another hellish day with trying to get a loaner from them. My best advice is save the trouble, research BIG time before you make such a big purchase & don’t just judge by the sales staff. My biggest mistake. More
