Did not tighten oil drain plug after oil change I went for an oil change in January 2014 to this business, as I have many times before as there service department had always satisfied my car's needs I went for an oil change in January 2014 to this business, as I have many times before as there service department had always satisfied my car's needs. I have had major warranty work done here and minor repairs in addition to maintenace from 2010 to 2014. The morning after I had the oil change done here I was about to depart for a 2.5 hour drive when I noticed oil under the car. Sure enough I reached up and felt that oil drain plug was not only loose but had backed out about 1/3 of the way and was the reason the oil drained onto the driveway. People make mistakes, I understand, so I topped up my oil and called and left a voicemail at the dealership, as it was a Sunday, indicating that they had made this error. They never phoned back to apologize. Dispicable. Had I not noticed this oil spill and inspected, I would have taken off for the 2.5 hour drive and fried the engine somewhere along the way. Shortly after this experience I received my email request to fill out a dealership survey and I used that as another forum to indicate that they had made an error AND that they never returned my call. Again, no one contacted me to apologize. I will not use this dealership again and I will go as far as to warn anyone from using it. It was a simple and easy mistake to make but no admission of it and no apology is unforgiveable. I take my business elsewhere now. More

The staff is always excellent, my recent visit on Saturday May 10th was for a Tire Change ...... but Ifind the Price to be so high that I will have to go else where, I think, even though I really only like to trust my ;car to this dealership .... but really $90. for a tire change, when most other dealerships do it for free I as am finding out ..... (and even though I bought my car over at Northgate Pontiac) I was told that taking my car in to Southgate was equally the same - makes no diffenece which location I choose) so, I guess that Pontic GM Dealerships do not offer the same free tire change service that other dealerships do (and their service is free regardless if you have your tires on rims or not) ................so needless to say................ I find this very disappointing ..... cause Southgate is really my favorite place ...... Thank You More

One of the three individuals looking after me advised that he had checked the tires and a r I came in for an oil change and requested a tire rotation. One of the three individuals looking after me advised that he had checked the tires and a rotation was not needed. Also advised that treadwear was even thereby indicating wheel alignment was good. They could have simply done the rotation and charged accordingly. I appreciate that I was advised that service was not needed, saving me money. More

Because of the service recieved in the past My 2006 Hummer H3 was lost in a garage fire. I was lucky to find another in Brooks Alberta. I did purchase an extended warranty, as this H3 was purchased site un-seen. There is no other place I would take my car. I only ever took my car to Southgate, and it was only natural that you would help keep my new baby healthy, and me happy. Even if Hummers are no longer made, I have every confidence that Southgate will have the resources, and knowledge to keep my H3 on the road for ( I hope ) may years to come. I have been dealing with this dealership for years and the only reason why I do is because of scott ash. He is what every service department needs. Takes care of his customers like they are family and fri the only reason why I do is because of scott ash. He is what every service department needs.
