Doing a credit check without a signed consent I visited the dealership yesterday March 21, 2017 hoping to trade my 2012 RAM with a 2017 GMC Sierra, I was still on the process of doing a test drive I visited the dealership yesterday March 21, 2017 hoping to trade my 2012 RAM with a 2017 GMC Sierra, I was still on the process of doing a test drive of how GMC trucks drives/feels like and which trim would be better ( on a side note Sam was really awesome with his customer service ). This dealership finance department did a credit check already without my knowledge and my written and signed consent, this is just a greasy move and I find it very unacceptable. I have not even decided and there was even no numbers involve yet, what kind of a company or dealership would do a credit check if they don't even know if I would purchase a unit and I didn't even know how they got my information since the only piece of identification I gave was my driver license for the test drive. I am writing and filing a complaint to FCRA office about this matter, since there was no consent ( even a verbal ) was asked. Things like this should not happen and I'm hoping it would never happen again to any future clients of this dealership, that is why I am writing this review just to give the future customers a bit of a heads up. More
