I was in search of a new or used SUV on autrader.ca and came across one that seemed suitable at Campus Nissan. They had a gently used 2012 on their lot, so I sent them an email with some questions (is it a local vehicle, how many kms...Nothing too complicated). The next day I ended up getting responses from 2 different sales people. I had to re-ask the same questions a few times before I finally got someone who answered to me. Everything sounded good and I was ready to make the trip to the dealership when suddenly the price of the vehicle went up by over $1000. When I asked them why the price suddenly rose within a few hours of me contacting them, they replied that it was part of their Christmas sale, but now the sale had ended. It's interesting that they were having a Christmas sale that miraculously ended on that one particular vehicle a few hours after after I inquired. A sale that just ends on a Thursday afternoon in mid-January? I would think that used cars aren't exactly flying off the lot after Christmas...but hey what do I know? I explained to them that it seemed like they increased the price right after I showed interest in the SUV. When they denied that was the case I told them that I felt they were being dishonest. They said that they could look into honouring the original sale price. Guess that should make me feel like I'm getting a deal. The lack or organization and dishonesty right from the start raised some red flags for me. I couldn't imagine what things would have been like once it came time to sign the papers. More
Great pre-purchase script and very consistent with phone calls and emails. Promises of offering you the best deal and service...typical car salesman. Beware of their tricky dirty tactics when you discuss an calls and emails. Promises of offering you the best deal and service...typical car salesman. Beware of their tricky dirty tactics when you discuss and negotiate the final price and most importantly if you have a vehicle to trade-in. Carefully READ documents/worksheet that they will make you sign. The numbers on the final worksheet was different from what we agreed on. I did not hear back from the salesman after I purchased the vehicle and expressed my concerns with the negotiated price. Bad sales experience....all they care about is to make $$$. More
Normal dealership. Over priced, can never get old parts or see what is going on with vehicle service. Below all the niceness it is still a dealership driven by only profit. or see what is going on with vehicle service. Below all the niceness it is still a dealership driven by only profit. More
