I received an email from GM Jason Munden as transcribed below. I wish to re-iterate that I do not want anyone to lose their job and that I have real empathy for salespeople who deal with often unreasonable customers. My issue is the failure of management to accept culpability. While Mr. Munden is certainly apologetic and polite, he is also using Mr. Wong's "inexperience" in the same way that Mr. Wong used Jackson's inexperience to justify poor ethics. If Jackson was not authorised to make the offer, why was acting as a sales agent? Jackson took the signed counter offers back-and-forth between us and his manager; why did the manager not outright refuse the first offer if Jackson supposedly acted of his own accord? I was relatively calm about the experience until Mr. Wong said that the price stated to us to entice us back in was not an offer, but a "suggestion". Combined with the fact that the owner particulars ("one owner" - Ken) was false (it was a rental to auction before), it is difficult to dismiss the incident as a rookie mistake, but bespeaks to a culture of deception. At no point did Mr. Wong even offer to make things right. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello, Thank you for taking the time to inform me of your experience, and I apologize it did not go well. Ken is also new to the Sales Manager position and it is clear he needs some coaching. We do have thousands of happy customers that we have long term relationships with, but unfortunately that does not reflect on our Dealer rating as it is human nature to voice an unpleasant experience more often than a good experience. I will review your comments with both Ken and Jackson, and review our customer service policies so we can improve for the future.
