BUYERS BEWARE - Purchased 2016 Used NO BLOCK HEATER Less than a week ago we purchased a Used 2016 Chev Traverse. I would like to retract our previous glowing 5 star comment. It has come to our Less than a week ago we purchased a Used 2016 Chev Traverse. I would like to retract our previous glowing 5 star comment. It has come to our attention in the midst of this deep freeze in Southern Alberta, that there is no Block Heater!!! Since when did Chevrolet start making this an Option to purchase in CANADA, the land of Cold and Snow??? As the original owner did not install one, it will now cost us an additional $400 to have one installed. I contacted our Sales Agent Ash Kanji who was unaware that the vehicle we bought did not have one. He too, just naturally assumed there was one. Being a 2016, we paid More than enough for this vehicle in the first place. We would not have purchased if we knew we had no block heater!! ASH advises us that he has spoken with two of his managers and they are not in a position to assist us on this matter, as that is how the vehicle came to them. Needless to say we are Not Happy, and the saying BUYER BEWARE, could not be more true. Expensive Lesson Learned! In speaking to a friend who owns a 2012 Traverse, they did not have to purchase it then as an option!!! More
