My wif Saw the add online and emailed Lee about the car and he got back to me the next day . I made arrangements with him to see the car on Saturday . My wife and I drove to his garage and found my dream car waiting. So I told him I was interested in buying it. We agreed on a price which to me was a great deal . We had some hiccups with our bank and Lee actually waited for 3 weeks for me . I am sure he could have sold the car 10 times in that time span easy... He didn't even want a deposit the first day. He said my word was good enough. The car is everything i could ever want and it was showroom new.. Inside and out , his guys do a fine job cleaning and detailing the cars. I still can't believe i own this awesome machine and that Lee waited that long.. He is truly an honest guy. Cars are in his blood. Thanks again Lee and yes i am enjoying my ride!!!! I sent an email about his ad in Autotrader one night. Lee replied to an email I sent about the car the very next morning by phone. He was very friendly and up-front about the condition of the vehicle before I made the trip to his garage from Windsor. Once there, I was treated with courtesy and because of his great knowledge of Corvettes, he answered all my questions. It takes a special leap of faith to buy a 22 year-old car but I have no regrets. After looking at numerous personal car ads and online dealer ads, we stumbled upon the website for Lee Munro Automotive in Paris Ont. We were immediately impressed with the quality and composition of the website as well as the upfront presentation of the dealer owner and operator Lee Munro. It was immediately apparent from his bio and from the way the site had been composed that Lee was passionate about his business and about Corvettes in general. Good signs. Browsing Lee's inventory, we saw several cars we liked but one in particular caught our eye: a beautiful Electron Blue 2002 with extremely low mileage. Being of the careful and cautious variety (especially when buying cars), I initially wondered about the mileage claim. For a car that was 12 years of age, it sounded 'too good to be true'. I called the dealership and was pleased that the phone was answered by Lee himself - not some automated contraption or patronizing receptionist. Lee was intelligent, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I asked about the car (and about the mileage) and he immediately offered to send us a CARFAX report. The report arrived shortly thereafter and it provided an independently-sourced detailed history of the vehicle. So far, so good. We thought about it for a few days and decided to schedule a visit to the dealership. With a few emails to Lee (emails that he answered promptly and clearly), we had a date and time set up. Again, being of the cautious type, I continued to send Lee emails full of questions about the car, in part because I wanted to know more about the car and in part because I wanted to see if Lee was a 'straight shooter' or not. For each email I sent, Lee answered my questions promptly, succinctly and reasonably. On the day of our visit, Lee welcomed us warmly, took us to the car and, after a brief overview, handed me a portable light and a shop blanket and said 'Go ahead and check it thoroughly. Take your time, there's no rush.'. He then went back to his office and left us to explore our potential new purchase. Getting better. After more than an hour of thorough inspection, we knew we had found a very special car. We were very interested but we also wanted to compare our selection with some of the other cars in the showroom. Again, Lee left us to explore his elegant showroom of spectacular cars without any pressure to buy. When we were ready, Lee spent the next few hours talking with my wife and I about Corvettes in general, our reasons for wanting a Corvette and why we had selected this particular one. He showed us several others from different vintages and discussed the pros and cons of various features and styles. Lee was clearly interested in making sure we chose the right car for our lifestyle. Better yet. I went for a brief test ride with Lee and was impressed with the way the car performed. It was beautiful and it was living up to the reputation that we had garnered from the reports and from Lee himself. We discussed price and other purchase details and throughout the process, we found Lee to be straight-up and to-the-point. He was clearly not a haggler; he had a price and was confident that his price was fair and competitive. Secretly we knew he was right. We agreed to think about it and get back to him. In the ensuing days, I emailed Lee with more questions and, as before, he answered them promptly and succinctly. Excellent. Finally, we made our minds up and set up an appointment to buy the car. Lee's happy reaction was as much about knowing that we were making a well informed choice that would bring us years of enjoyment as it was about selling the car. Paperwork was exchanged and Lee set about getting the car licensed and ready while we set about arranging payment. Keep in mind that up to this point, not a penny had been exchanged. On the day of the actual purchase, Lee brought our beautiful car out of his showroom (that’s right – Lee’s cars don’t sit outside in a lot getting filthy with sand, rain, grit or bird droppings) and I took it for a test drive. It drove great. We completed the transaction and chatted with Lee before making the most enjoyable 2 hour ride home in more than 35 years of driving! Phil and Ev from Blenheim, ON More

I spent several weeks looking for the perfect SUV, and considered importing an H2 from the US as I simply couldn't find anything that was exciting enough this side of the border. I'm located in BC, and st considered importing an H2 from the US as I simply couldn't find anything that was exciting enough this side of the border. I'm located in BC, and stumbled across an Autotrader listing for a Pacific Blue Limited Edition H2 - the pictures were extensive - about 20 of them from almost every angle you would think you'd need to see, and it sparked my interested. I contacted Lee Munro and immediately arranged and paid for a full inspection at a Chevrolet dealership in Brantford, Ontario - as I was buying this car from BC. The car failed the inspection despite Lee's numerous claims it was "like new" and "fabulous" as there was a leak in the exhaust system. Over and over again Mr. Munro told me he does business based on honesty and by his word - and told me a million times the car was flawless. Even though the exhaust was apparently leaking I trusted he would have it fixed, as he said he would, and went ahead and sold my car in BC - and offered numerous times to put a deposit on the H2 while he had it fixed. A few days later, as bank drafts were being prepared to be fedex'd across the country, and a shipping company was booked to pick up what was about to be my new car, I wanted to show my husband the pictures of the car again as I was getting excited for it to ship out to me. To my dismay, I stumbled on an old kijiji listing for the very same car showing significant damage to the wheel well. I immediately contacted Mr. Munro and asked for clarification - of all the many many many pictures he had sent me, and the many many many emails detailing the shape and condition of the car (like new, perfect, flawless, fabulous, etc.) he never mentioned so much as a scratch. I asked if the damage I had found in that picture had been fixed, as he had never mentioned it, nor released ANY pictures of this to me despite my requesting a full list and pictures of each and every deficiency the car had (it was a VERY low mileage H2 for over 30k - not exactly a beater of a car, nor is it exactly chump change) Mr. Lee Munro got very aggressive and demanded money and said even though it was his "mistake" for not putting a picture of the damage on auto trader, the car did have some damage, and too bad for me... He made up numerous lies as to why he had not put the picture on auto trader or disclosed the damage. He even went so far as to attack me personally for suggesting he was being dishonest - which he clearly was. Lee Munro was trying (and almost succeeded) in selling me a damaged car in a very dishonest and distrustful way. I was horrified - I am a very hardworking, honest, and kind mother and wife, and I reached out to him and gave him a very polite opportunity to rectify the situation - specifically, I said that if it was an honest mistake, then perhaps he would like to rectify the situation honestly and have the damage fixed or perhaps he would like to suggest a remedy. He did not wish to do so, despite ample opportunity to do so. Shortly after ending our business relationship (hours later) he relisted the car on auto trader for a HIGHER price, and still did not disclose the damage to one side!!! What a terrible, shameful, dishonest way to do business. I have all of his communications should you wish for me to forward them to you - don't hesitate to message me. A car is a large sum of money, and can cost even more in repairs, etc. Buyers BEWARE - this man is a lying, deceitful, dishonest, scammer. Don't waste your time on him, and don't spend your hard earned dollars on his rickety damaged cars that he tries to pass off as high end. More
