After very proudly owning four different Kias over the years—two of them purchased brand new—I never imagined I'd be writing a review like this. Unfortunately, my experience at Barrie Kia and the level of service I received has ensured that I will never purchase another Kia nor will I ever recommend them to others. My 2015 Kia Optima Hybrid was at Barrie Kia for just under 3 weeks. The repair was eventually completed yesterday, but the communication throughout the process was unacceptable. I repeatedly had to chase for updates, was given multiple promised completion dates that were missed, and was even contacted once about another customer's vehicle due to apparent confusion. I escalated my concerns to both dealership management and Kia Canada before I finally started receiving callbacks. Despite being told the required part had arrived and that the repair would be completed on multiple occasions, I later discovered the vehicle had not even been worked on. The repair itself appears to be fine, but the sheer level of incompetence in communication and service coordination made this one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I've ever had. To top everything off, when I picked up my vehicle, there was no acknowledgment or apology for what had occurred, despite the multiple escalations and the impact this situation had on my family. The service was completed before the estimated time slot, the car was washed.....even the tires were detailed. Many thanks to Technicians ,Giancarlo Romero and Anisah Wines. I was very pleased and would highly recommend this service and dealership to anyone. This is my second Kia Sorento, that I bought at BARRIE KIA, and God willing my next Kia will be purchased and serviced by this dealership. THANKS FOR A JOB WELL DONE. Terry Contois. More
I had my car towed to Barrie Kia a couple of weeks ago, and since then the experience has been beyond frustrating. Communication is practically nonexistent. In the last two weeks, I’ve only managed to actually speak with the service team once about my vehicle. During that call, I was told the engine had failed and that someone would call me back with next steps. That call never came. Every other time I’ve called, when I do manage to reach someone, they simply take my name and number, promise they’ll “get back to me soon,” and then… nothing. No follow-up, no updates, no sense of urgency or professionalism. They claim diagnostics were done, but based on the lack of information, updates, or documentation, it honestly feels like nothing has been done at all. Even more concerning, corporate reached out and left them a message, and that still didn’t prompt any action or communication. For a dealership service department, this level of unresponsiveness is unacceptable. I’ve been left completely in the dark about my own vehicle, with no timelines, no explanations, and no accountability. This is, without question, the worst customer service experience I’ve had in my life. If you value communication, professionalism, or basic respect for your time, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere. More

Seems barrie kia specializes in non transparency sales techniques, increasing interest rates and payment lengths from those initially stated. The service department out and out lied to us about the large staple that caused the puncture (we presume that part was true, but when you get repeatedly compromised at a dealership you start to mistrust them), anyway the service managress told us we needed a new tire and also a new rim as the shorseshoe staple had puncture the rim in two locations requiring a new designer rim.. I said I thought that was unlikely and wanted to see the tire and rim. After some time they provided a photo of the rim with a small interior surface scratch and the comment that "Oh, there was no puncture after all" . Judging from the price of the tire replacement I'm sure the price of the specialty wheel would have been charged at close to $1,000 dollars. I believe that is bordering on fraud. More

I called Kia Barrie for a diagnostic and they gave me an appointment nearly three weeks out. After I left a review on Google, the manager called me asking me to take it down and said they’d scan the vehicle without an appointment. I brought it in, they scanned it, said they had the code, cleared the check engine light, and sent me home. Before my scheduled appointment, the light came back on. On the day of the appointment, the light was off again, and after keeping my car all day, they told me they didn’t do anything because there was no light on. Last week, the light came on again. I brought it back, they cleared it once more, and Greg said he would call me with an appointment—he never did. I called myself and was given a date for July 4. Today (Saturday), my car broke down on the exit off Highway 11 N in Orillia. I almost got into an accident because the car suddenly stopped and It wouldn’t move and several warning lights came on at the same time. I called Kia Roadside Assistance (I have the extended warranty), and the car was towed to Kia Orillia. Now I’m being told I might have to pay for the tow back to Barrie and that a rental might not be covered—even though the salesperson told me all of that was included when I bought the car. I really regret trading in my truck. The service at Kia Barrie has been very disappointing, and I would not recommend them based on my experience. More
Dom the con is the most perfect way to describe the finance manager. He rushes you through the application process and adds on warranties and anti theft charges without explaining them. Jesse just sits in the corner and doesn’t engage. I wish I could give the car back and never deal with them again. Even their own sales guy talks about how unorganized it is and talks about who’s getting fired. BRUTAL. Stay away!!!! More
