We were driving north on the 400 from the GTA when our 2017 Escape started having problems. We quickly looked up a Ford dealership in the Barrie area and found Barrie Ford. She understood that we were worried about getting to our family holiday and had the car loaded with groceries, bedding, clothes etc. This was about noon on a Monday and because of previously booked appointments, she advised that the technicians might not even be able to look at it for several hours. Our spirits were sinking fast. We had all the provisions for the family dinner that night with us. Shannon asked us if we could leave the car with them for the week and rent a car to take us the rest of the way. She even called several car rental places and was able to arrange a car of comparable size to our Escape as it was loaded to the brim with our cottage supplies. She then drove us in the Barrie Ford shuttle vehicle to the rental agency. Once we transferred all of our belongings into the rental car, we were on our way again. Shannon called the next day to advise what the technicians had discovered about our car problems and what the cost would be. She then called a day or so later to say the car was ready. As a Service Advisor, Shannon is top notch. She helped us get on our way quickly and did found the rental car. As people not familiar with Barrie, we could have been left to fend for ourselves. Shannon made sure we were well looked after and we felt we were not alone in having to deal with our sudden problem. Barrie Ford, you have a winner in Shannon. More
I had an unknown vibration while driving. Ford assessed the issue and determined it is likely a brake service issue. Ford technicians completed the service and believed it remedied the issue Ford assessed the issue and determined it is likely a brake service issue. Ford technicians completed the service and believed it remedied the issue but I soon realized that the problem still existed. I contacted my service advisor who immediately reassessed the issue. After several hours without my car, Brian notified me that they recognized the problem lied with the rotor. Ford machined the rotor fixing the issue and at no cost to me. Brian took my concerns seriously and made sure I was satisfied. More
We ended up going to Barrie Ford as Trillium Ford let us down. I will write a review on them as well. So after getting the run around we went to Barrie Ford. I was fortunate enough to have Jennifer Mann as my service advisor. First point of contact was amazing. Jennifer was busy but greeted me with professionalism and explained the timelines that this repair would take. Things did not go as planned. The part that was delivered was damaged and she kept me in loop with the extended timelines and who could possibly be available as a contact person if the car in question could take a bit longer to repair. She careful explained hours of operation, the procedure for absentee payment and promised to call me back before she left for the day. Which she did. She explained that the car in for repair would be a bit longer but she would arrange delivery and call me for payment in the morning. Again she followed up and made the experience seamless with as little pain as possible. Upon delivery, surprise, Jennifer delivered our car. Again amazing full circle service! It is worth noting that Barrie Ford and Jennifer stepped up as it pertains to this vehicle and Ford Approved Warranty that was passed it's kms.
