I emailed the dealership about a truck that was just traded in, I asked for a price since it wasn't listed and received a number. I sent a offer and my phone number was asked for, I spoke with the sales traded in, I asked for a price since it wasn't listed and received a number. I sent a offer and my phone number was asked for, I spoke with the sales person who made it clear they could make my offer work. I again made it clear what my offer was, plus tax and lic and no extra or hidden fees or other gimmicks and assured that there would be no games. I went and test drove the truck and it had some minor cosmetic issues but nothing bad. I told the sales person that i wanted to make the deal, my offer, add a oil change, and a fair trade in number. Then the games began....The sales person came back who i should mention was fine and I had no issues with. He showed me first the managers trade in offer and it was a little less than what i wanted originally but ok at this point. Than the truck sales number came back to what they originally asked for, I said this isn't what we agreed to! My offer stands if you want to make the deal, he left and i waited yet again and he came back with a out the door number. I looked it over and it didn't make sense, something was wrong here. I told the sales guy i wanted a break down, left again. Came back with the originally number they wanted, I again expressed this wasn't my offer that was essentially agreed upon. They took my offer and added $499 for this and $499 for that, they added $180 fuel charge which i didn't want, etc. I said i didn't ask for these useless add ons that I would never use, but at the same time got their numbers closer to their asking price. I again said that I came to make the deal based on my offer which was agreed to and these extras need to be removed. Yet again the sales person left and came back with a printed sheet this time. This is where I got very upset since clearly they were trying to frustrate me by throwing around so many numbers. This time they offered a truck price that was $500 higher that my offer, still added the $180 fuel fee and shockingly DROPPED my trade in by $1,650 plus the tax credit....WHAT??? I had it at this point and felt that these people must think I'm a fool. I told the sales person and showed him the new difference in the trade in and he looked surprised. He had right in front of him the original trade in numbers plus tax credit. I asked for my keys and ownership back and he said come with me since the manager had it. I showed the manager the difference and he attempted to make it sound like I didn't know what i was taking about. To my surprise he was talking to me from his elevated station, basically looking down at me and talking about my personal numbers with people there, they could hear the conversation-NOT DISCREET at all. With their attempt and this final working and yes manipulating the numbers to which would always get them to their asking price, and at my loss. With their last attempt they basically offered my $2,000 less in my trade in than another dealership. I simply left in absolute disgust! Agreeing to a offer, wasting hours of my time, when it could have been such a simple sale-yes cash at that. The games played here is the prime example of bad managers who try to manipulate and cheat you. IF you choose to deal with these people-as they bring numbers back and forth, keep looking at changed numbers, ask questions about add ons, things you never asked for. I belong to a large net work and will most certainly share my experience with them. More

My oldest son buys his new vehicles through Max, so he recommended him to me when I decided to buy a new Bronco. I didn’t feel rushed and I got all my questions answered. Cassandra was amazing. Ongoing Transmission Issue Mishandled I’ve had an unresolved PowerShift transmission issue on my 2014 Ford Focus for nearly a decade. The vehicle shutters and slips during acceleration — especially a unresolved PowerShift transmission issue on my 2014 Ford Focus for nearly a decade. The vehicle shutters and slips during acceleration — especially after extended driving — and despite multiple warranty repairs, the problem has never been fixed. Here’s a brief timeline of the major repairs: March 2016: TCM recall performed October 2016: Clutch ordered due to hesitation March 2017: Clutch replaced; reprogrammed PCM/TCM May 2020: Clutch and input shaft seals replaced August 2021: “Transmission Fault Service Now” – TCM replaced again February 2024 (at Barrie Ford): TCM replaced under warranty; told the issue would resolve after 2,000 km — it didn’t June 2025 (Barrie Ford): Issue re-diagnosed, DTC P090C confirmed clutch and actuator failure again To Barrie Ford’s credit, they waived the diagnostic fee and offered to discount the repair from $4,917 to $3,600. I appreciated that. However, I had already offered to pay $1,500 out of pocket toward the repair as a goodwill compromise, and asked them to escalate to Ford Canada for support. That request was declined, and my follow-up to both the service manager and dealership owner went unanswered for over three weeks. After years of trying to get this issue resolved — including repeated service visits and following all dealer advice — I’m left with no option but to pursue CAMVAP arbitration and Ontario consumer protection. Disappointed that such a long-standing, clearly documented issue wasn’t properly resolved under warranty or goodwill consideration. More

Max was great to work with. It was nice to deal with a car enthusiast, who was as knowledgable as I am on the motorsport aspect of things. I found it very easy to talk to Max too, and just straight talk trucks, engines, superchargers etc., and all good things performance relating to the truck I bought. Thanks very much Max! I love my new truck! After I purchased the truck, I needed to visit the service department for a few minor items I wanted tweaked. Scott in service looked after me, and I left with everything perfect, and I am 100% happy!. Great job guys! More

I initially had positive expectations after hearing good things about this dealership, which led me to purchase a Ford F-150 along with a tonneau cover. About two years later, I returned to the dealership t things about this dealership, which led me to purchase a Ford F-150 along with a tonneau cover. About two years later, I returned to the dealership to purchase an extended warranty. However, shortly after, the tonneau cover blew off while I was driving on the highway, nearly causing an accident with another vehicle. I approached the dealership to address the issue and inquire about the warranty, but I was met with unresponsiveness. They failed to return my calls or emails, leaving me in the dark regarding any possible action. It's clear that the dealership is only focused on making sales and is unwilling to support customers when problems arise. Their lack of communication and accountability is deeply disappointing. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone, as they do not stand by their customers or take responsibility for their products once the sale is made. More
