Sadly, my husband and I purchased our Van from AURORA CHRYSLER (lack of research) and have had NOTHING but terrible experiences with them. We bought a year old van and there has been some problems with i CHRYSLER (lack of research) and have had NOTHING but terrible experiences with them. We bought a year old van and there has been some problems with it. Within the first week we had the van back for some work, which would not have been a problem, but it was like pulling teeth to get them to give us a loan car, after we had traded our car in for the van. Their customer service is terrible, all they care about is selling the car to you. Maybe they do not realize that REPEAT sales are what will keep them in business. Our van was missing the cover for our USB port when we first saw it, we asked the sales man about it, he ASSURED us that it would be there when we picked up the van, as well as the van would have a FULL CLEANING! When we arrived to pick up the van, the usb cover was still missing, we were told it had been ordered, but we needed to wait a week or so, when we had to take the van back in for its repair (one week later), we pointed out how DIRTY it was. Spilled pop in the cup holders, dirt on the back of the drivers seat, food crumbs, etc. The sales man came out with a dirty rag and quickly wiped it down. I understand that this was not a new vehicle, and I did not expect it to be perfect, but it was new to us, and we were excited about it, until Aurora Chrysler really made it feel used! WEEKS went by, 4 or 5, and we still had not received the usb cover (I understand it is a very little piece, and does not at all affect the drivability of the van), I called and spoke to the sales man, he had NO IDEA who I was, or what I was talking about until I spelled my name 3 times! Then he said, oh yes, it has been ordered and it will be here in 3 weeks! But its not going to fit properly, because they dont make that piece anymore. It is an eye sore, having an open USB port, that CLEARLY is supposed to have a cover. A small issue, but another issue none the less. It has been almost a year, about 8 months, and our check engine light came on. It had been on for a couple of days, we tried tightening the gas cap, running the engine to empty and refilling, and checking all the caps, nothing fixed it, so we called Aurora Chrysler, they told us to just keep driving around for another week and maybe it will fix itself. It didn't. I called back, they said they could get us in Friday (it was Tuesday) and that it would take around 2 hours, so we would have to leave it there. That is very difficult when you have a baby who needs their carseat! Then they let me know that I would have to wait for the part, if one was needed, and then bring the van back for a couple of days later and probably pay around $105.00 to plug the van in, if the problem was not covered by the warranty. I called MacIver Dodge in Newmarket, they were so helpful and polite and got me in right away, I waited 1/2 hour and they had figured out my problem, and had a solution for me! MacIver is only 15 minutes north of Aurora Chrysler, GO THERE! Maciver Dodge made me feel taken care of, not taken advantage of, like Aurora Chrysler did. More
I brought my Dodge Grand Caravan to the closest dealer for a new key. The one I had worked but had a small crack in it. I'd been using it for months but decided to get a spare just in case I lost the only for a new key. The one I had worked but had a small crack in it. I'd been using it for months but decided to get a spare just in case I lost the only key I had. They provide me with a new key at a cost of over $300 dollars however they somehow managed to break my old key to the point where it no longer works at all. There are now several cracks in it which were not there when I dropped it off. Tony the service manager was nice enough about it. He offered to look at it and I felt like we could have reached a compromise of sorts. I would have been happy with a discount on a new key as I acknowledge that the old key was already cracked (but still worked). Then the owner Mr Chan got involved. He said that "the key was broken when I dropped it off so there was nothing they would do". I tried to explain that I had driven there so it still worked when I dropped it off, but he kept repeating the same sentence and did not seem to be listening to me at all. I can not comment on the sales team, but the service dept left a bad impression with me. I was raised to believe that if you do something wrong you should own up to it, learn from it and try to fix it. If Aurora Chrysler can't own up to a mistake then they will never learn. I would not recommend them. More
