They are arguing with customer after the email they sent to me saying the advisor was rebecca so i told them she was my advisor and fighting with telling she is not advisor. They will never listen to customer issues rather will tell to get service from somewhere else More
Worst dealership ever! WORST dealership ever! Purchased a 2015 jeep Cherokee from alberta honda and after driving it for 4 months the power steering rack just became faulty WORST dealership ever! Purchased a 2015 jeep Cherokee from alberta honda and after driving it for 4 months the power steering rack just became faulty all of a sudden while I was turning at the traffic lights. Reached out to the dealership since it had not been that long since the purchase and the vehicle has not been used for regular commute just drive within the city usually to run errands like groceries and shopping. Well to my dismay alberta Honda was not willing to help with my problem gave me the run around then finally let me tow the vehicle to them so they could try to figure out what was wrong. When they failed to figure out what was wrong they sent it to their sister dealership since they are a Chrysler dealership. Later on I was advised by the sister dealership the power steering rack was damaged and needed to be replaced, the cost of the repairs came to $4,000 and it needed to be paid right away or they will tow the vehicle to the address I would give them if I did not have the funds. This was unexpected and $4,000 was not money I had to pay right away so I reached out to Alberta Honda again to see if there was a way they could help me. The manager (Patrick) I spoke with said he would review my file and call me back. When he called me back he said they could do a trade in for my vehicle and try to keep payments the same as I was currently paying on the jeep. He advised me to go in and see what they had available. When I went in I was thinking it would be a trade in for a preowned vehicle but to my surprise it was for a brand new 2019 SUV and of course payments were super high. I asked about seeing what the numbers would come to if I settled for a smaller vehicle (Honda civic 2019) numbers were still high but bearable but my insurance was going to end up going up by $60 so there would be no savings there. I figured let me sleep on it and get back to them. Shocker though was my vehicle would be traded in for 12 grand almost less than 50% of what I got it for and they had already found a jeep dealership that would take it for 11 grand. Now I may not have taken business studies in college but it's also not rocket science that the math is off. When I realized that I asked if I could do a trade in for a used vehicle I was told that option was not available. I was told they could run my credit regarding a new purchase then pay off the existing loan on the jeep and I start afresh with the Honda civic. I asked if they could just help in paying for the cost of repairs considering it was just too soon for me to be doing a major repairs to the vehicle after a recent purchase...that was not an option either. Since they seemed so rigid in options available i told them i would get back to them the next day after discussing with my family. That evening i discussed my situation with my family to get their input. Afterwards I decided it's better I get my vehicle towed back to my house and shop around for a mechanic that will charge me less than the $4,000 then get vehicle fixed. I contacted Alberta Honda (Scott) the next morning and advised them to cancel the credit application and that I will just get the vehicle fixed on my own. After that I called their sister dealership to give them the address to tow the vehicle to but to my surprise they were willing to work with me and see how they could be of assistance. The manager David said he would look into my issue and see if there was a way they could fix the problem for less and also keep me as a customer. Later that day he called me back and advised me the vehicle could be fixed for $2,205. He sent me the paperwork and he saved the day. The next day I got a call from alberta Honda (Kumar) offering me to trade in for a preowned vehicle. I told him I will get back to him after discussing with my family. After considering how, when I was in tears and asked if they could do that the day I went in for the trade in they said that was not an option and now after I am able to get the vehicle fixed for less that's an option. I called him back and said no thank you but alberta Honda could chip in for repairs. He said no we dont do that and the call ended. My trust in the dealership got eroded with how things played out and even in trying to redeem themselves now, I still struggle to see their customer focus. Maybe if they could have been the ones to talk to their sister dealership in working lower costs to repair the vehicle I would have something better to say about them but no I had to fight my own battle. Where is the customer service or maybe that's the new definition alberta Honda standards 🤷??? I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. They will treat you like you are in collections if the vehicle they sell you gives you problems after you purchase it. And what's worse is the confidence their sales guys have in telling you the make of your vehicle cannot be compared to a Honda🙄 if you purchase something else ....but they are the ones selling it. We were visiting Edmonton on December 20 and experienced an incident with our 2015 Honda CRV . Our car wouldn't start. Called AMA, and got a boost, but there was still some issues. The AMA Driver recommended Alberta Honda to check the car before driving back to Calgary as a precaution. Glen tested and checked the battery, found it was in good condition, explained why our battery ran down, re-assured us there were no other problems and gave us a written explanation describing battery maintenance. This was a very pleasant experience and a worry-free drive back to Calgary. More

It won't give you good advice about how best to deal with a problem with your Honda. Its Service Department will take you money even if it doesn't have the expertise for the problem your Honda is having. It will also hold your car hostage when you refuse their service once you catch them trying to overcharge you. A young (female) family member went to Alberta Honda for a very simple exhaust pipe solution, on my recommendation (to my shame). She was given a $1200+ quote. This despite the fact that the actual muffler had been replaced within the previous year by Kamloops Honda (a more reputable business). She had a simple rusted exhaust pipe problem. When three muffler shops in the vicinity all scoffed at the $1200+ quote and each offered her a free inspection and quote, we called Alberta Honda about this. The Service Department manager's defence was an indignant "Well, we're not a muffler shop". Of course, the "service Coordinator" conveniently omitted mentioning this when speaking to a young person with limited experience. The final insult was that Alberta Honda would not release the vehicle to go to the other shop until she paid a $90+ "Inspection Fee". This was originally quoted at $75 but mysteriously, when we told them we were taking our business elsewhere additional "shop fees and materials" were added to the bill. "Let The Buyer Beware" is clearly the business model and motto at Alberta Honda.
