Short story: I waited 8 months and a half for my car, after putting a 1000 dollars deposit and after I bought another car, dealership refuse to give the deposit back. I feel duped. Specially because I called 1 week before buying the other car and they said they did not know when they will have my car. On the day I called asking for my deposit, they said the car was ready and being shipped Long over detailed story: I went to buy my first car in Canada July 2021, and looking online I saw that by far the most affordable option was the Chevrolet spark LS manual, it is 10389 dollars. I said on the phone very clearly that I wanted to buy the LS manual since I am from Brazil and have driven manual cars for 9 years. They said that while they did not have the manual version, they could order to be built,so I went to the dealership and put a 1000 dollars deposit, I was informed that because of Covid cars are taking longer to be built, and they could not put in writing a specific date, but usually less than 3 months, but never on their knowledge more than 6 months. I waited patiently 8 months, on March 29th 2022 I even said that after waiting a long time I would be open to get other versions that were more expensive, if that would help me to have it. They gave me the usual answer, that they did not know when I would have a car. On april 4th 2022 I said I bought another car after waiting 8 months and a half with no idea when I would have my car, they said that just before I called they received the news that my car was being shipped and because of that they would have to keep the deposit, they even complained that I order a manual car that is harder to sell and now I am not honouring our contract. I said it was a xxxx of a coincidence that just before I called the car that they did not have any news to give me for 8 months and a half is finally built and being shipped. I feel disrespected, I feel duped and I feel they abused my good will and I do not recommend anyone to trust anything about this dealership. More
