This dealer is hugely lacking in customer service skills. After going through a nightmare with Acura Pickering and Honda Canada for the last 2 and a half weeks, safe to say I will not be returning and will n After going through a nightmare with Acura Pickering and Honda Canada for the last 2 and a half weeks, safe to say I will not be returning and will never purchase another Acura or Honda vehicle. My 2019 RDX rear glass shattered on its own, (which is a known issue) through out the whole process I can’t believe Acura is making me feel like it was my own fault. Yes they did fix it after a whole bunch of back and forth with almost no accountability of their own. Service manager Don Chen try to tell me I was being rude after going through all this all because I just suggested if I could be offered a free service or something after having to go through such a disastrous experience. Thank you very much sir, I will definitely not be coming back. To make matters even worse, another poor lady was coming back for the 2nd time with the exact same problem as me and she was also unhappy with the service she received. I understand it’s not the service team at Acura Pickering’s fault that theres a flaw in the RDX design and they have corporate policies they need to follow. But they can treat their customers much better, there should be an easier way to handle such issues. I do appreciate the communication aspect from this service team at Pickering because they did keep in the loop thanks for that. I just feel like I could have been treated with more respect, do not accuse me of being rude! I don’t even know if this happens again will I have to go through this xxxx again? Anyway I have filed a complaint with Transport Canada because this is a serious safety issue with their vehicles and should be addressed in a better way. On my google review they try to reply back by saying they fixed it at no cost as a gesture of goodwill. And to that my response was. Replying back with the gesture of goodwill? Standard warranty or not like I said I did appreciate they kept me in the loop. I wasn’t asking for anyone to go above and beyond for me, at the end of the day Don was doing his job which I completely understand if he did anything above and beyond I’m not aware of it. Because I too was making calls back and forth with Honda Canada countless times for the last 2 week and to be quite honest I did not ask for any financial compensation whatsoever. The repair was done at no cost to me because this is a known defect. If there was even a minor fault of my own I am pretty sure no matter what claims I have made Honda Canada would not approve this repair. So please don’t try to discredit my review by saying the repair was done out of a gesture of goodwill. Does not change the fact as I’m walking away after all is said and done I get told I’m being rude and get treated with attitude. See people these guys are all slimy take your business elsewhere. Just to be clear this was not a favour, it was a rightful claim due to the known defect. Not to mention the major inconvenience and stress I went through. You guys didn’t even offer me a loaner vehicle and put a garbage bag on the back and expected me to drive like this in the winter. I got a rental vehicle on my own I did not receive any above and beyond service here. I was left to make calls and plead to Honda Canada to make my own case. When I first got there I was told the repairs would cost like $1600 or take it to insurance. Don or the service advisor Arash did not say no worries we will deal with Acura Canada here’s a loaner vehicle we will update you as soon as we can, I was given a number and told call them on your own. All I am saying is there should be a streamlined process do not try to make your customers feel guilty for Acuras problem! There was no above and beyond or proactive support here. More
Worst experience in my life with this dealership. I went there for a regular maintenance to change timing belt and spark plugs to my RDX and when I picked up my car it started making very loud noise I went there for a regular maintenance to change timing belt and spark plugs to my RDX and when I picked up my car it started making very loud noise and emission check engine light went on ( first time a check engine light lit up in my car), when we reached to them next day, the service adviser didn’t take seriously and was insinuating that it might’ve not be their mistake and we might need to pay for extra repairs cost on top of close to $3,000 that We had paid the day before. Long story short it turned out the mechanic forgot to attach the flex pipe properly. While, they eventually fixed it, It left me wondering how Acura dealership could potentially damage your car that was perfectly running and fail to admit it or even apologise. I found the service adviser extremely rude and doesn’t understand what a client service is all about. They have no respect to their customers and probably don’t care if you come back or not. They even scratched my car. A small advice, if you have a good running car, please take it somewhere else. More

May 18 2022 I recently purchased my 2022 MDX Type S - Ultra from Acura Pickering. This was my 4th MDX and last two occasions I didn't have good experience with the sales rep. However on this occasion , it was a real pleasure working with Laxsith Alexander, he is a true professional, has in-depth knowledge about the product he is selling and puts his client's interest before his own.
