This is how dealerships should be! After researching/visiting several vehicle companies I sent an email to Abbotsford VW in regards to how much they would offer for my trade in. Josh va After researching/visiting several vehicle companies I sent an email to Abbotsford VW in regards to how much they would offer for my trade in. Josh vanden Eykel responded to my email and the response I received was personalized (not the generic "come in -insert name here-and we will tell you"). When I attended later that day Josh was very knowledgeable about the vehicles and friendly. Sadly, after purchasing a few vehicles now, that isn't easy to find! We discussed what I was looking for and Josh guided me to the right vehicle, he didn't try to upsell me with features I didn't want or play any annoying tiresome games (like the old "we can get the one you want, but it comes with more features or far away so we need to charge extra" or "oh that's not including tax and freight and ..."). After a decision was made I sat down with Mgr Chris Preston and I was braced for the uncomfortable negotiation process. Before I knew it I had happily signed the dotted line, it was a easy process where we both stated what was desired and came to a mutually beneficial agreement! I'm still in shock! No numbers games that confuse and stress me out, for the first time it was a relief to buy/trade a vehicle! Then I met with financier Stefani Baron, fantastic and knowledgeable lady! No one pressured me to buy warranties, rust proofing etc. The products were explained to me until I understood properly (this can take a few tries lol) and there was no questioning me if I declined. Throughout the process everyone made sure I was comfortable with coffee etc and they even had a diaper change station with stocked diapers/wipes! This was particularity impressive because I thought I was the only person to take a baby car shopping :-). Josh even helped me unload personal items from my previous vehicle upon trade in and made sure the Jetta I test drove could accommodate my stroller in its trunk before I decided to buy it. Anyways I'm really impressed, all the other employees were very friendly also, even though I wasn't directly dealing with them. Good work everybody!!!
