The sales experience wasn’t bad but since? Not so much. This is the craziest experience I’ve ever had with ANY make of vehicle from ANY dealership. After 54000km, our van needed all new pad Not so much. This is the craziest experience I’ve ever had with ANY make of vehicle from ANY dealership. After 54000km, our van needed all new pads and rotors. (Over $1000). By comparison, on my previous vehicle, after 150000km, only pads were needed. According to the dealer it was our fault because we didn’t bring it in at 20000km for brake cleaning and service which we were never made aware of. The Service Manager DID however, eliminate the cost for the rotors. Then the rear row seat would not lay flat. Service said it was a bent hinge and ordered it in and installed it. They said it still wouldn’t lay flat and that another part was needed and that they would order it and call us when it came in. After a month, NOBODY at the dealership or Toyota Canada customer service has any record of the part being ordered. Now, we went to have our winter tires (on their own rims) changed out for the all seasons on alloys. All four tires are unusable. The vehicle is used about 2/3 of the time in the winter since it’s AWD and safer. The front tires are both smooth on the inside edge and the rears both have broken belts. We haven’t hit big potholes or bumps and there is ZERO uneven wear of the winter tires. The parts person at the dealership told me that ALL makes of new vehicles original tires only last 35-40 thousand km. First time I’ve ever heard that and this is far from the first new vehicle I’ve purchased. Called another dealership and they were very surprised by that statement as well. I called Toyota Canada customer service and these issues have been “escalated”. I’m waiting now to hear back from either corporate or the dealership to see if I’ll have to spend around $1000 to replace tires that probably only have about 25000km of wear on them. I’m a retired CF member and I can say without any doubt in my mind that in that world, somebody or several somebodies would be standing in front of the SM, the CO or both being asked some hard questions. I bought the van because I need one for my mobility scooter. I bought a Toyota because of the reputation for reliability. I love driving this van and sincerely hope that I don’t have more issues with it in the future More

They were there for me when I needed them While making a long trip home to New Jersey from upper Michigan on October 22, 2016, I detected a noise coming from my car's front end. Note that I fi While making a long trip home to New Jersey from upper Michigan on October 22, 2016, I detected a noise coming from my car's front end. Note that I first heard the noise while in the vicinity of Sault Ste. Marie, ON. That night I stayed in Sudbury and first thing Monday morning, 10/23 called my dealer back in NJ who advised me to have the car checked out before going any further. At the time I thought the problem was with the front brakes so my first choice was to have it looked at in Sudbury but I was told upon calling that no openings were available. Second choice was to chance driving the 574 km (357 miles) all the way to Brockville, ON (my final stop before heading home). So I called 1000 Islands Toyota and was connected with Carley, who told me (after I explained my situation to her), that they could check my car first thing Tuesday morning, 10/24 and that I if I could get there by 5:30PM, we could do the paperwork & the dealer shuttle could get me to my B&B. Long story short, I did and they did. Next morning Carley called me at about 8:45 to tell me that her tech had road-tested my car & inspected the front end and discovered the problem. Was not the brakes as feared, but another issue that if left unfixed could have led to greater damage. I told her to go ahead & have the work done - which was completed before 10AM, such that the shuttle picked me (and my luggage) up at 10:30 and brought me back to 1000 Islands. Cost was under CAD$200.00, work was perfect and the service I received from Carley & her team was nothing short of STELLAR. I wish I lived closer than 6 hours away so I could make them my regular dealer. If you live ANYWHERE near Brockville, Ontario and are looking to buy a Toyota; or if you need service, do yourself - and your car - a BIG favor and see the folks @ 1000 Islands Toyota! More

Bought new and used with some service We have bought new and used vehicles here and the sales experience was way better that the ones we visited in Ottawa. No pressure tactics. Haggling is a bit limited, specially on their used cars. They have excellent loaner system for when you need any type of service. They will come and pick up your vehicle and leave a brand new car. Service is good. Sometimes hard to convince them there is an issue. Specially when it is intermittent and won't do if for them. More
