Brought in a truck for safety. They called over 3500 dollars of work required on a truck with only50,000 km on it. Took it to Canadian Tire and it passed with flying Color’s. Absolutely unbelievable.will never go there again
Do not buy used here. They promote Lubrico warranties which cover nothing unless you can prove it broke regardless of history. Gus Brown diagnosis my 5.3liter engine as failing as it consumed 3.1 liters of oil every 5 000 KMS . Then it stopped and my oil pressure dropped but they said it was safe to drive Warranty did not cover repairs!’
I purchased a 2018 Equinox premier, and have been getting all the work/repairs done at Gus Brown. So far to date I have had the following issues: 1. Clunk in rear suspension; 2. Wireless charging pad not working; 3. Clunk noise under gas pedal (still not fixed); 4. Rattle noise in muffler (was replaced and needs to be replaced again); 5. Battery replaced; 6. Front brake pulsation; 7. Rear differential replaced (in a car less than a year old!); 8. Driver side trim panel coming away from fender by tire; 9. Torque converter in the transmission!!!! 10. Radio screen overheats and flashes from screen to screen to screen. I have been in a rental since June. It is now September. The car is still not fixed. I have been in touch with GM Canada and have been dealing with the Executive Review Board. We got to the point that the Service Manager (Mike) and the lady from the Executive Review Board (Crystal) both agreed that there has been far too many issues with the vehicle and because we have a child with health concerns that we travel to Sick Kids with on a regular basis, they wanted us out of the car. It is unreliable. The District Manager has said no, we are getting the car fixed and we can take it or leave it. I would like to mention there is a huge conflict of interest in regards to this district manager. He should not be making any decision on the vehicle as he has bias towards me. We went from they were trying to get me out of the car to now, it basically sucks to be me and they will fix the car. They have no care for the fact that I am travelling long distances with my child and have a lemon of a vehicle. They do not back their product. I would not recommend this dealership or GM as a whole. My car is still sitting at the dealership waiting to be ‘fixed’. I have only ever bought GM but this will be the last time I ever purchase a GM vehicle if this is how you treat your customers.

Why do they charge so much for an oil change? I called to ask if there were any specials. No. I said do you price match? Yes... But, apparently not. I brought in proof of price for Road Ready $59.99 Canadian Tire. Gus Brown wants $99.99 for same. Their excuse: We use better oil!!!! $40 worth of better oil? I don't think so. Outrageous lies, they do not price match and they apparently don't need the business! Do not go to GB Port Perry for an oil change....EVER!!! AND on top of that: I actually bought my $60000 car there! JOKERS...
We purchased a used truck worth $33,300 for a used Yukon. We were assured there was no rust only to find that rust had been painted over. They would not cover to get fixed when brought to their attention.
