Always excellent service. Attentive sales staff. Always polite. Pleasant and knowledgeable. Always available whenever I had questions about my dealer financed loan.
I purchase master shield product warranty coverage eight years ago figurine they would tell me the rust that came through my paint isn’t covered but to my surprise Sarina of the DeWildt Chrysler looked after all the details when I got it back, it looked like a new car even went the extra mile and clean the inside for me thank you so very much.
If I could rate them with a negative number I would. I took my 2016 Jeep Cherokee to DeWildt’s service department the week of March 20th. I told Service Advisor Ray Baki about a hissing noise coming from beneath the dashboard and that it stopped when the climate control system was turned off. I said my local service tech determined the refrigerant from the climate control system was leaking and that he had recommended bringing the Cherokee to a Jeep dealer as replacing the fluid in the system required a special tool generally only found at dealerships. The following day I received a call from Ray Baki, during which he told me hoses from the climate control system and cooling system were leaking and that the one was at risk of tearing open the other causing the engine to over heat and possibly seize up. Mr. Baki gave me an estimate of $2,900 plus tax to make the necessary repairs. Fearful of the engine overheating I approved going ahead with the work. When I picked up my Jeep the final total came to $3,587.63. A little over a week after paying for the work done on my Cherokee I turned on the Climate Control system only to discover the air conditioner would not blow cold. A quick check with my independent service center confirmed the Jeep’s climate control system had neither been repaired nor had the refrigerant been replaced. I took the car back to DeWildt where upon I was told by Mr. Baki I had not asked to have the refrigerant replaced nor had I asked to have a leak in the system repaired. He went on to say he would be happy to have his tech look at the system and call me with an estimate of what it would take to fix the problem. The very problem I had taken the car to DeWildt for in the first place. I still needed to have my Jeep’s climate control system repaired but there was no way I would take it back to DeWildt. While searching Chrysler Jeep dealership reviews for a reasonably reliable service department I learned of other ways dealerships take advantage of FCA/Stelantis vehicle owners. FCA/Stelantis Canada provides its dealer service departments with a database (Pro Demand) of time required for various repairs to its vehicles. Thanks to the resources made possible by the internet I discovered DeWildt’s service department significantly increased the times charged to my bill to: Replace Radiator, Replace Oil Filter Housing, and Chemically Clean the cooling system. After acquiring estimates for the same type(s) of service and repair I discovered DeWildt over charged me approximately $650 for these unnecessary repairs not to mention completely failing to fix the climate control problem. PLEASE NOTE while the summary at the beginning of my original invoice regarding my remarks as to what was happening with the Jeep are correct it is important to note Mr. Baki, DeWildt’s service advisor, omitted my initial remarks: * I told him there was a hissing noise coming from beneath the dashboard * I told him the noise stopped when the climate control system was turned off and I believed that was where the problem was * I said I had taken the car to a local service center where I was told the fluid in the climate control system needed replacing but it could only be done with a tool they did not have - they recommended taking the Jeep to a dealer service center * When asked by Mr. Baki if the car overheated I said “No” and reported the temperature gauge was working properly and that the Check Engine like had NOT come on * Additionally, I told them there were no signs of coolant leakage of any kind including on the concrete surface of my driveway. Even though I had to drive miles out of Hamilton I found a Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram dealer to repair my Jeep’s Climate Control system in a timely manner and at a time rate in line with FCA/Stelantis guidelines.
I just purchased a new Trailhawk from Anthony Trabucco who was very helpful with the purchase and made it very comfortable to work him and the staff, hope all goes well with my new unit. Thank you Anthony for your help a great person.
Service yesterday for EGR valve code P404 and code P300 misfire as I noted both codes to them prior to servicing. Final bill was 1147.00 for an EGR valve replacement and 2 one hour diagnostic charges. I paid the Bill but noted that 1147.00 to replace an EGR bill was too high. Service Managers on commission ?
DeWildt Chrysler Service Centre took a bad situation and made it better. When my car was struck while parked on the street I informed my insurance company I wanted to use their services based on a previous service experience. Given my busy work from home schedule and the realities of the COVID-19 pandemic, they accommodated me by picking up my car, answering all my questions via phone, and after the repairs were completed returned it as good as new. Their customer service was highly responsive, knowledgeable and professional. Thank you!
